Für DUST & BONES (Facebook/Homepage) steht auf jeden Fall Spaß an erster Stelle. Das lässt sich auch sofort am verrückten Cover-Artwork sehen, was schon mal direkt für einen Schmunzler sorgt. Die humorvolle Truppe spielen Rock ’n‘ Roll in all seinen Variationen. Da will man sich nicht so genau festlegen. Das neue Album „Mission Back To The Forbidden Planet“ folgt dieser Einstellung jedenfalls voll und ganz.

„UR R’N’R“ treibt mir als Elvis-Fan direkt Freudentränen in die Augen. Was für eine geile Nummer ist das denn! Heavy Rock mit Elvis-Vibes! Das nenne ich mal ne einmalige Mischung. So haben es DUST & BONES sofort geschafft, dass ich die Lautstärke hochdrehe und ich mit bester Laune den weiteren Songs lausche. Zugegebenermaßen habe ich mir den ersten Song aber erst einmal fünfmal reingezogen. Einen besseren Party-Anheizer gibt es nicht! Vor allem diese Kombination mit zwei Sängern und ihren unterschiedlichen Stimmen kommt super rüber. Hier würde mich mal die Entstehungsgeschichte des Songs interessieren. Viel Spaß mit dem Video. Ich könnte wetten, dass der Song bei euch auch nicht nur einmal laufen wird. (Ich könnte mir sogar ein ganzes Album in diesem Stil vorstellen! Das wäre ein großer Spaß!)

Mal flott den Elvis-Anzug abgelegt und weiter geht’s mit einer breiten Spaßpalette an Songs, die für vielseitiges Hörvergnügen sorgen. Das mitreißende „Feel Good“ wirbelt mit Vollspeed eine Menge Staub auf. Auch „Planet 5“ lässt das Fuß auf dem Gaspedal stehen und dreht nen paar heiße Donuts auf dem Asphalt. Lasst es qualmen und rauchen! Hier gefallen mir die unterschiedlichen Vocals auch besonders gut umgesetzt.

Den krassen Gegensatz in Sachen Geschwindigkeit bekommt man mit „Earth Stood Still Today“, der sehr schleppend und relaxt seinen Weg geht, aber ebenfalls mit viel Charisma punkten kann. Charisma ist neben dem Humor ohnehin ein Merkmal dieser Band, welches sich in allen Songs widerspiegelt.

Wer es gerne locker und beschwingt haben möchte, für den sind Songs wie „Electricity“ oder „Move“ genau das richtige. Außerdem lassen sich die Refrains so wunderbar mitsingen und sorgen für Stimmung. Alles perfekt für heiße schweißtreibende Live-Gigs.

Fazit

DUST & BONES sind immer ne Reise wert, denn die Spaß-Rakete „Mission Back To The Forbidden Planet“ zündet mit feinstem Rocksprit und schießt Euch ins Gute-Laune-Universum. Spaß und gute Unterhaltung sind garantiert, wenn DUST & BONES abheben. Die Hitdichte ist auf dem Album sehr groß und man feiert eine großartige Rock ’n‘ Roll Reise mit allem drum und dran. Da möchte jeder mitfliegen und abfeiern!

The humorous band play rock ’n‘ roll in all its variations. You don’t want to pin yourself down. The new album „Mission Back To The Forbidden Planet“ offers great package of songs.

Elvis-Vibes

As an Elvis fan, „UR R’N’R“ brings tears of joy to my eyes. What a great song! Heavy rock with Elvis vibes! That’s what I call a unique mix. DUST & BONES immediately managed to get me to turn up the volume and listen to the rest of the songs in a great mood. Admittedly, I first listened to the first song five times. There is no better party starter! The combination of two singers and their different voices comes across particularly well. I’d be interested to hear the story of how the song came about. Have fun with the video. I could bet that you won’t just play the song once. (I could even imagine a whole special album in this style! It would be great fun!)

The Elvis suit is quickly dropped and the band continues with a wide range of fun songs that provide versatile listening pleasure. The rousing „Feel Good“ kicks up a lot of dust at full speed. „Planet 5“ also keeps the foot on the gas pedal and spins a few hot donuts on the asphalt. Let it smoke and smoulder! I particularly like the different vocals here.

The stark contrast in terms of speed comes with „Earth Stood Still Today“, which is very sluggish and relaxed, but also scores with a lot of charisma. Charisma, along with humor, is a characteristic of this band anyway, which is reflected in all the songs.

Songs like „Electricity“ or „Move“ are for those who like things to be relaxed and upbeat. What’s more, the choruses are so easy to sing along to and create a great atmosphere. All perfect for hot, sweaty live gigs.
