Genre: Thrash Metal

Die junge Band ASSI ASSASSIN (Facebook) zündet einen großen Knall mit ihrer Debüt-EP „Entry Wound“. Zumindest bei mir hat die Mucke so gezündet, dass ich mich spontan entschlossen habe über diese Combo zu berichten, die erst Ende 2022 mit einem vollständigen Line-Up loslegen konnte. Umso beeindruckender, was die Jungs uns da vor den Latz ballern.

Sie bezeichnen sich selbst als „new beer fueled Thrash Metal band from Berlin„. Die Musik wird aber glücklicherweise nicht „gelallt“, sondern heftigst geknallt! In bester old school Manier schmettern euch die Jungs knallharten Thrash-Metal um die Ohren, dass sie nur so glühen. Auf „Entry Wound“ gibt es fünf brettstarke Ohrlaschen, die eure Köpfe garantiert zum wackeln bringen und die Nacken brechen werden.

Volle Kanne „Attacke“!

Der Opener „Pervitin“ bläßt zum Angriff. Der Song sorgt direkt für Herzrasen, wenn die Trommeln losfeuern und die Riffs wie wildgewordene Kettensägen abgehen. Die Jungs wissen auf jeden Fall, was sie tun und spielen megastark auf. Das rappelt so dermaßen hart, dass mir schwindelig wird. Auch der Solopart ist schön crazy abgefahren.

Die extremen Vocals wissen zu begeistern, welche herrlich brutal düster und mit teuflischer Energie geschmettert werden. Mit der nächsten fetten Keule „Head Of The Snake“ geht die wilde Prügelei in die nächste Runde. Mir gefällt diese permanent vorhandene Verrücktheit im Sound. Krass, wenn plötzlich finsterste Growls aus den Untiefen der Hölle erklingen. Der Song hat nur ein Ziel: Alles kurz und klein kloppen!

Das Riffing ist durchweg eine aggressives Höllenfest. Der Bass lässt sich auch nicht lumpen und sorgt für knackige Schwingungen. Beim Beginn des Songs „Acid Spitter“ bekomme ich sogar Judas Priest Vibes, bevor es dann wieder so richtig fies abgeht.

Fazit

ASSI ASSASSIN schlagen mit einem großen Knall ein. „Entry Wound“ ist wie ein durchgehender Sprint mit durchgedrücktem Gaspedal. Ohne Rücksicht auf Verluste prügeln ASSI ASSASSIN drauflos und hauen einen Nackenbrecher nach dem anderen raus. Stumpf ist Trumpf! Und dies meine ich hier durchaus positiv. Hier wird halt nichts rumgeschnörkelt oder weichgespült. Es gibt einfach stumpf in die Fresse. Ganz ohne cleane Vocals hämmern die Jungs euch die Songs in den Schädel. Dabei haben ASSI ASSASSIN aber so geile verrückte Vibes, dass es nicht zu einer eintönigen Angelegenheit wird und die Songs durchaus ihre individuelle Note haben. Verdammt starkes Debüt einer sehr jungen Band! Da kann man nur staunen!

Deswegen erscheinen mir 8 Punkte nicht ganz ausreichend und belohne diese tolle Leistung mit 9 Punkten.

The young band ASSI ASSASSIN (Facebook) are making a big bang with their debut EP „Entry Wound“. It banged me right away with the first listen so that I spontaneously decided to report on this combo, which was only able to get started with a full line-up at the end of 2022. All the more impressive what the guys are smashing.

They describe themselves as a „new beer fueled thrash metal band from Berlin„. Fortunately, the music doesn’t sound drunk, but tough as nails. A fucking blast! In best old school style, the guys blast hard-hitting thrash metal around your ears so that they just start glowing. On „Entry Wound“ there are five powerful face punches that are guaranteed to shake your head and maybe break your neck.

Attack

The opener „Pervitin“ immediately gets your heart racing when the drums start firing and the riffs go off like wild chainsaws. The guys definitely know what they’re doing and play brutal hard. It rattles so hard that I get dizzy. The solo part is also pretty crazy.

The extreme vocals know how to inspire, which are belted out with wonderfully brutal darkness and devilish energy. With the next fat blow, „Head Of The Snake“, the wild brawl enters the next round. I like this craziness in the sound. It’s disturbing when you suddenly hear the darkest growls from the depths of hell. The song has only one goal: Seek And Destroy!

The riffing is an aggressive hell-fest throughout. The bass doesn’t let up either and provides crisp vibrations. At the beginning of the song „Acid Spitter“ I even get Judas Priest vibes before it gets really nasty again.

Conclusion

ASSI ASSASSIN hit with a big bang. „Entry Wound“ is like a continuous sprint with the pedal to the metal. Regardless of losses, ASSI ASSASSIN thrash one neckbreaker after another. There’s no fiddling around or softening up here. The extreme vocals fits perfectly to the sound. But ASSI ASSASSIN have such great crazy vibes that it doesn’t become a monotonous affair and the songs definitely have their own individual touch. A damn strong debut from a very young band! You can only be amazed!

That’s why 8 points don’t seem quite enough to me and I reward this great performance with 9 points.
