<h3 class="wp-block-heading">&nbsp;<strong>„Ginnungagap“</strong>: die erste Single vom Album <strong>„Mythos: Ragnarök“</strong></h3>

<h6 class="wp-block-heading">(scroll down for english version)</h6>

<p>Am <strong>6.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Mythos: Ragnarök – die Show</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="alignright size-full is-resized"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="400" height="600" src="https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/kjell-braaten-by-cezar-cazan.jpg" alt="kjell braaten by cezar cazan" class="wp-image-202701" style="width:154px;height:auto" srcset="https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/kjell-braaten-by-cezar-cazan.jpg 400w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/kjell-braaten-by-cezar-cazan-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px" /></figure></div>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="alignleft size-large is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="1200" height="1200" src="https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-1200x1200.jpg" alt="KB_MR_Single 01 - Ginnungagap_COVER" class="wp-image-202705" style="width:167px;height:auto" srcset="https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-1200x1200.jpg 1200w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-300x300.jpg 300w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-150x150.jpg 150w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-768x768.jpg 768w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-80x80.jpg 80w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-320x320.jpg 320w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-1320x1320.jpg 1320w" sizes="(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></figure></div>

November 2026</strong> unter <a href="https://kjellbraaten.bandcamp.com/">kjellbraaten.bandcamp.com</a>.

<ul class="wp-block-list">

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><br><br>„Mythos: Ragnarök“– Kjell Braaten Announces New Album</h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>„Ginnungagap“</strong> is the first single from the upcoming album <strong>„Mythos: Ragnarök“</strong></h3>

<p>On <strong>November 6, 2026</strong>, Kjell Braaten will release <strong>„Ginnungagap“</strong>, the first single from his upcoming album “Mythos: Ragnarök”, which features the music composed for the stage production of the same name.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Mythos: Ragnarök – The Show</h3>

<p>This is where theatre, wrestling and Norse mythology come together. The stories of the ancient myths are brought to life on stage by professional wrestlers who are also actors and stunt performers. Odin, Thor, Loki, Freya, Gullveig and Hel tell tales of battle, hope, love, cunning and bravery. Audiences can expect spectacular fight scenes – accompanied by the music of <strong>Kjell Braaten.</strong></p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="alignright size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="400" height="600" src="https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/kjell-braaten-by-cezar-cazan.jpg" alt="kjell braaten by cezar cazan" class="wp-image-202701" style="width:157px;height:auto" srcset="https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/kjell-braaten-by-cezar-cazan.jpg 400w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/kjell-braaten-by-cezar-cazan-200x300.jpg 200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px" /></figure></div>

<p><strong>Kjell Braaten</strong> is a Norwegian composer, multi-instrumentalist and music producer. For more than 25 years, he has been deeply immersed in the music and instruments of the Nordic past. He has released several solo albums and performed with bands such as WARDRUNA and NEBALA. (I have written about this several times here.)</p>

<p>He also composes music for film and theatre productions, including the Netflix series <strong>„Vikings: Valhalla“</strong> and the film <strong>„The Northman“</strong>.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>„Ginnungagap“</strong> <strong>– </strong>Emptiness as a Vibrant Soundscape</h3>

<p>And now he has also created the music for this unusual and successful show, which tells the story of the Norse gods through its own unique interpretation.</p>

<p>In Snorri’s Edda (one of the most important surviving sources of Norse mythology), Ginnungagap is described as the void between Niflheim, the world of ice, and Muspelheim, the world of fire.</p>

<p>The first single from the album <strong>„Mythos: Ragnarök</strong>“ offers a glimpse into this chasm between fire and ice.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="alignleft size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1200" height="1200" src="https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-1200x1200.jpg" alt="KB_MR_Single 01 - Ginnungagap_COVER" class="wp-image-202705" style="width:153px;height:auto" srcset="https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-1200x1200.jpg 1200w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-300x300.jpg 300w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-150x150.jpg 150w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-768x768.jpg 768w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-80x80.jpg 80w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-320x320.jpg 320w, https://metal-heads.de/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/KB_MR_Single-01-Ginnungagap_COVER-1320x1320.jpg 1320w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px" /></figure></div>

<p>The track <strong>„Ginnungagap“</strong> opens in darkness, with isolated drumbeats setting accents within a vibrant sonic world that transforms the void into a magically charged, yet still unformed reality. The music gradually builds tension, already conjuring images of the gods – and wrestlers – in the listener’s mind.</p>

<p>It is here, at Ginnungagap, that the interpretation of the myth presented in <strong>Mythos: Ragnarök</strong> begins: Loki and Odin decide to create the world at this very place. From this point, the story of the gods unfolds, leading all the way to Ragnarök, the destruction of the world.</p>

<p>The album’s music follows this dramatic progression, opening up a diverse sonic spectrum. Its range extends from atmospheric soundscapes and monumental classical orchestral arrangements to uncompromising metal. The music is closely aligned with the events unfolding on stage, enhancing the different moods and action sequences of the production.</p>
