RAGE wollen am 26.09.2025 ihr neues Studioalbum namens „A new world rising“ veröffentlichen. Und man war so freundlich und hat den Fans schon jetzt einen amtlichen Vorgeschmack geliefert. Dies in Form des Videos zur Single „Freedom“. Das wollen wir euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten. Außerdem planen wir eine ausführliche Review des Albums zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt.

Ende vergangenen Monats haben I PREVAIL die aktuelle Single „Into hell“ veröffentlicht. Das Video zum über Fearless Records erschienenen Song ist cool gemacht. Abgesehen von der musikalischen Seite solltet ihr das auch visuell anchecken. Die Nummer hat ordentlich Power…fettes Ding!

Kommen wir zu SPEED QUEEN. Die belgische Formation wurde 2014 gegründet (und sollte nicht mit der gleichnamigen französischen Combo aus den 80er-Jahren verwechselt werden) und plant das Release ihres neuen Studioalbums „…with a bang!“ am 05.09.2025 über High Roller Records. Einen der zehn enthaltenen Songs hat der Vierer schon heute für uns mit einem Video am Start. Hier kommt „Showdown“:

Kennt ihr PENDULUM? Am 22.08.2025 erscheint das neue Album namens „Inertia“ und einen der 16 enthaltenen Songs spielen wir euch heute schon vor. Es handelt sich um „Save the cat“. Electronic bzw. GWAR sind absolut Kult. Es ist schon ewig her, dass ich die Band live erleben durfte. Optisch lebt das Ganze von den kreativen Kostümen. Musikalisch ist von Schock Rock die Rede. Was bekommen wir auf dem am 25.07.2025 erscheinenden Release namens „The return of gor gor“ geboten? 3 neue Tracks und 4 Songs als Live Versionen. Zeit für symphonischen Metal aus Ungarn. Dort sind METEORA beheimatet. Am 08.08.2025 will man die EP mit dem Titel „In the silence“ unter die Leute bringen. Es geht langsam los…lasst euch nicht täuschen. Taylor Acorn heißt die die Sängerin aus Nashville. Den Ort kennt man für Country Music, aber es geht auch anders. Schaut euch das Video zu „Goodbye, good riddance“ an. Damit hat ihr eine Idee, wo die musikalische Reise hingeht, nachdem das Debütalbum „Survival in motion“ Ende 2024 erschienen ist.

Gwar veröffentlichen endlich ihr Comback-Album mit dem Titel „The Blood Of Gods“. Lange, ja sehr lange mussten die Fans auf neues Material der Scumdogs warten. Als am 23. März 2014 Frontmann Dave Brockie im Alter von 50 Jahren an einer Heroin-Überdosis starb, beschloss die Formation eine Pause zu machen. Nun melden sich die Jungs zurück und ließen bereits im Frühjahr verlauten:

…The band is working on a new album and a whole new show that will blow your minds faster and harder than a meth addicted hooker blows a paycheck. Also, GWAR are about to take on the craziest year of touring in the band’s recent history, and will be destroying North America literally all year! We are still lining up dates for the year long killing spree, but don’t worry Bohabs, GWAR will be coming to visit all of your little shithole towns, and together, we will Make America Bleed Again! And as a little treat for all you Bohabs, GWAR can confirm their first tour dates set for April. The Scumdogs will hit Reading, PA, Columbus, OH and will headline the Berserker Metal Fest in Detroit, MI. Tickets for all of these shows go on sale this Friday February 10th.

Details about the new album remain sketchy, partly because the band wants to proceed with great secrecy, and partly because they have been very busy playing Pokémon GO. Suffice to say that they are working an album that will change the world as we know it, altering the consciousness of all living things. More details about the recording will be made available “when we fucking want to tell you”, says guitarist Pustulus Maximus. We wait with (mastur) bated breath!!

Das Blut der Götter läuft nicht nur aus den Boxen…

…sondern auch aus den Ohren. Blothar, so der Name des neuen Fronters, gibt nun den Ton an. Jedoch sitzt nicht jeder Ton auf der Platte, da seine Stimme noch recht ungeübt wirkt und nicht genug Durchsetzungskraft besitzt. Auch musikalisch wirken die Jungs etwas außer Form. Es befinden sich zwar sehr starke Lieder wie „Viking Death Machine“, welches durch seinen catchy Refrain lebt, oder auch „I’ll Be Your Monster“, welches wohl eines der ruhigsten Lieder in der Bandgeschichte darstellt, auf der Platte. Doch es ist kein klares Konzept zu erkennen. Hier ist mal ein Song der Marke Hard-Rock, da ein bisschen Pop-Rock sowie ein bisschen Thrash an der einen oder anderen Ecke zu hören. Leider gelingt der Neustart mit „The Blood Of Gods“ nicht wirklich und will auch nach mehrmaligen durchhören nicht zünden. Schade!
