Die heutige Ausgabe unserer Serie HÖRET & SEHET befasst sich mit modernem extremen Metal, genauer gesagt in die Richtung Deathcore. Die drei Bands interpretieren das Genre ganz individuell und jede Single für sich ist herausragend.

ALQEMISTE

aus Regensburg bieten ein modernes Metalerlebnis mit einer extravaganten Deathcore-Mischung. Diese ist aber durchaus faszinierend. Die neue Single heißt „The Swarm“. Die Songs von ALQEMISTE (Facebook) sind vor allem eines: Unvorhersehbar! Man kann sich nicht vorbereiten, wenn die Jungs loslegen. Man kann sich dem Song stellen nur überwältigen lassen. So könnte man es auch als progressiven Deathcore bezeichnen. Die Jungs nutzen alles, was geht. Das beginnt bei den Vocals, die in verschiedenster Form zu hören sind, und erstreckt sich auf den Sound, der Euch einfach nur wegbläst und bei „The Swarm“ sogar in den ruhigeren Passagen nichts von seiner unheimlichen Ausstrahlung verliert. Die Angriffe kommen hart und gnadenlos. Ein verdammt starker Auftritt! Irre!

Du befindest dich in einem Sturm aus Erwartungen, alle wollen deine Energie. Du bist eine unerschöpfliche Quelle, die ständig angezapft wird, ohne dass du die Chance hast, dich wieder aufzuladen. Bist immer für alle da, aber niemand bemerkt, dass du schon lange leer und ausgesaugt bist.

Die Vorgängersingle „Give Me Sleep“ wird Euch garantiert nicht in den Schlaf wiegen. Trotz mancher gefühlvollen clean singing Parts und sphärischen Passagen gibt es hier mächtig Arschtritte. Ich mag diesen speziellen Touch von ALQEMISTE und bin sehr gespannt auf die weiteren Songs der Jungs.

HEEDLESS ELEGANCE

stammen aus Budapest. „The Threads“ mit Tom Barber von der amerikanischen Deathcore-Band ‚Chelsea Grin‘ fackelt hier ein überschwengliches Feuerwerk ab, dass es nur so knallt und brennt. Dabei nimmt der Song sogar epische Ausmaße an. Ein megastarker Song, der gleich zu Beginn mit flinken Gitarrenleads loslegt, um dann in in einen brutalen Riffgewitter überzugehen. Die fiesen extremen Vocals kommen heftig und teils verstörend rüber. Dafür zeigt der kraftvolle melodische Refrain eine unerwartet epische Seite. Nach dem Album „Libra“ geht die Reise weiter durch die Erfahrungen einer fiktiven Figur in einer anderen Welt, in der es darum geht, den Kreislauf des Lebens zu verstehen und zu akzeptieren. Der innere Kampf zwischen Apathie und Akzeptanz wird durch einen Tanz zwischen zwei Personen dargestellt, deren Verbindung auf verschiedenen Ebenen der Existenz zu finden ist.

IMMORTAL DISFIGUREMENT 

Die Band mit Frontmann CJ McCreery kommt zum Abschluss keinen Deut weniger imposant daher. Ganz im Gegenteil! IMMORTAL DISFIGUREMENT(Facebook) haben mit „King“ ein übermächtiges Monument extremen Metals erschaffen. Bombastische Synphonien vereinen sich mit instrumentalem Gemetzel und einem fantastischen CJ McCreery, der sein gesamtes Repertoire in einer verrückten Performance zum Besten gibt. Der Song ist der pure Wahnsinn! Es prasseln so viele Eindrücke auf den Hörer ein, dass man währenddessen und danach völlig überwältigt oder zerstört ist. Today’s edition of our series HEAR & SEE deals with modern extreme metal, more precisely in the direction of deathcore. The three bands interpret the genre quite individually and each single is outstanding in its own right.

ALQEMISTE

from Regensburg offer a modern metal experience with an extravagant deathcore mixture. But this one is quite fascinating. The new single is called „The Swarm“. The songs of ALQEMISTE (Facebook) are one thing above all: Unpredictable! You can’t prepare yourself when the guys start playing. You can only let yourself be overwhelmed by the song.

So you could also call it progressive deathcore. The guys use so many things for their sound.This starts with the vocals, which can be heard in various forms, and extends to the sound, which just blows you away and loses nothing of its eerie charisma in „The Swarm“ even in the quieter passages. The attacks come hard and merciless. A damn strong performance!

You are in a storm of expectations, everyone wants your energy. You are an inexhaustible source that is constantly being tapped without you having a chance to recharge. You’re always there for everyone, but no one notices that you’ve been empty and sucked dry for a long time.

The previous single „Give Me Sleep“ will definitely not lull you to sleep. Despite some soulful clean singing parts and spherical passages, there are powerful ass kicks here. I like this special touch of ALQEMISTE and am very curious about the further songs of the guys.

HEEDLESS ELEGANCE

come from Budapest. „The Threads“ with Tom Barber from the American deathcore band CHELSEA GRIN torches here an exuberant fireworks. It burns like hell! The song even takes on epic proportions. A strong song, which starts right at the beginning with nimble guitar leads, to then go into a brutal riff storm. The nasty extreme vocals come across violently and partly disturbing. For this, the powerful melodic chorus shows an unexpectedly epic side. The formidable guitar solo is also first-class.

After the album „Libra“, the journey continues through the experiences of a fictional character in another world, where the goal is to understand and accept the cycle of life. The inner struggle between apathy and acceptance is represented by a dance between two people whose connection is found on different levels of existence.

IMMORTAL DISFIGUREMENT(Facebook) have created with their single „King“ an overpowering monument of extreme Metal. Bombastic synphonies unite with instrumental carnage and a fantastic CJ McCreery, who blasts out his entire repertoire in a crazy performance. The song is pure madness! So many impressions hit the listener that one is completely overwhelmed during and after the song.
