THE DAMNED THINGS sind zurück! Die Combo, bestehend aus Anthrax-Gitarrist Scott Ian, dem FALL OUT BOY Gitarristen Joe Trohmann, Bassist Dan Andriano, Drummer Andy Hurley sowie Sänger Keith Buckley haben ihre neunjährige Bandpause überwunden. Die Jungs melden sich mit dem Song „Cells“ zurück und haben auch ein neues Album mit dem Titel „High Crimes“ im Gepäck. Hört und schaut doch mal rein in das offizielle Musik-Video zum Lied „Cells:“

Klingen doch richtig rotzig, punkig, roh und frech, THE DAMNED THINGS, oder was meint ihr? Bereits am 26. April wird das neue Album via dem Label Nuclear Blast veröffentlicht und ihr sollte „High Crimes“ auch im Plattenladen eures Vertrauens wiederfinden. Wenn ihr mögt, hört auch mal hier rein. Gitarrist Joe hat im bereits sechsten Trailer zur aktuellen Platte so einiges zu verkünden. Los geht´s:

Auf Tour mit CROBOT & HE IS LEGEND

Leider werden THE DAMNED THINGS ab dem 1. Mai 2019 nur in den USA gemeinsam mit CROBOT & HE IS LEGEND auf Tour mit der neuen CD „High Crimes“ unterwegs sein. Die amerikanischen Fans wird es freuen. Wir in Europa müssen uns noch gedulden und daran erfreuen, dass endlich eine neue Platte veröffentlicht wird. Denn es hat lang genug gedauert, bis das Nachfolgewerk des 2010er Debüts „Iconiclast“ im Kasten war. Was daran liegen dürfte, dass die Bandmitglieder über die Jahre weiter ihre eigenen Bandwege gingen. Mit dem neuen Bassisten Dan von der Band ALKALINE TRIO sind THE DAMNED THINGS aber jetzt wieder am Start. Der 2. Silberling wurde übrigens von Jay Ruston (ANTHRAX, STONE SOUR, AMON AMARTH) produziert.

STONE SOUR – Erste Videosingle & neue Infos zum Album

Stone Sour veröffentlichen die erste Videosingle aus dem kommenden Album „Hydrograd“. Die Platte wird über Roadrunner Records veröffentlicht und erscheint am Freitag, den 30. Juni 2017. Die Jungs wählten für die Aufnahmen die Sphere Studios im Norden von Hollywood mit dem Produzenten Jay Ruston aus, welcher zuvor mit Anthrax und Steel Panther zusammengearbeitet hat.

Frontmann Corey Taylor sagte im Interview mit BBC Radio 1 Rock Show:

Hopefully soon. We have a tune that we’re probaby going to leak. It’s gonna be a heavier anthem tune, but not in a way that is usual. I mean, that’s kind of the cool thing about this whole album — the heavy stuff is heavy, but not in a typically mediocre, normal heavy way. It just has such a different vibe to it that it’s really infectious; people are really catching on to it. So the first tune, it could have very easily been a single. But we have six singles on this album as well. And you know what? We’re just gonna come out and bust people and see what happens. I’m really, really excited.

This album is great because it’s got elements of everything. It’s got the heavy energy of the ’80s, there’s punk moments, there’s hard rock moments, all the great amalgam of music. There’s even jazz and hip-hop moments. It’s really, really cool. It’s probably the coolest album I’ve made since the first SLIPKNOT album, let’s put it that way. It’s dope, dude. And, hey, I feel very confident making that statement, because it’s so good.
