Es treten an: JADED HEART in der Kategorie Heavy-Metal-Rock!

JADED HEART (Facebook ) sind nun wahrlich keine Neulinge im hart umkämpften Musikbusiness und können auf eine lange Historie zurückschauen. Und sie behaupten sich seit jeher stets mit hochwertigen Alben.

„Stand Your Ground“ ist nun der neuste Output (Album Nr. 14!!!) und wurde noch letztes Jahr am 27.11.2020 veröffentlicht. Das Cover mit dem Gladiator deckt sich hervorragend mit dem heroischen Sound von JADED HEART. Die schwedisch-deutsche (Duisburg) Band ist für erstklassigen melodischen Rock bekannt, den es auch gerne härtetechnisch mal in die Metal-Welt verschlägt. Dies macht sich umso mehr bemerkbar, da man beim neuen Album mal etwas komplett anders gemacht hat. „Stand Your Ground“ wurde erstmals ohne Keybordsamples eingespielt.

Steh Deinem Mann

Gladiatoren kämpften in der Arena meist um ihr Leben. Der Titelsong „Stand Your Ground“ macht dabei passenderweise keine halben Sachen, sondern schreitet kraftvoll voran. Schnelles fetziges Riffing paart sich mich schönen eingängigen Melodien. Anpeitscher Johan Fahlberg begleitet das Ganze gekonnt mit seiner Rockröhre. So kennt man JADED HEART und sie praktizieren es besser als je zuvor. „Stand Your Ground“ lässt als sehr guter flotter Heavy-Metal-Song Heldengefühle aufkommen.

In hartem Gewande

brüsten sich auch die übrigen Songs auf dem Album. Bei „One Last Time“ lässt der Bass imposant seine Muskeln spielen, der gerade in den ruhigeren nicht rifflastigen Passagen wunderbar zur Geltung kommt. Hartes tiefer gestimmtes Riffing gesellt sich dazu. Johan packt dann dazu auch gerne mal die schmutzige Rockröhre raus. Der Chorus glänzt dagegen mit einer wundervollen Melodie.

Die Uptempo-Songs „Reap What You Sow“ und „Hero To Zero“ treiben mit hoher Angriffsgeschwindigkeit voran. Der fette Bass zebröselt dabei jede Deckung und die scharfen Gitarrensoli schneiden durch die gegnerische Rüstung. Diese Merkmale sind ein fester Bestandteil im Sound auf „Stand Your Ground“!

Der 80´er Jahre Touch

schwingt im Sound von JADED HEART immer irgendwo mit, mal dezenter und mal klarer. So hämmert sich die mitreißende Rockhymne „Break Free“ im klassischen Stil durch die Gehörgänge. Eine schöne Hommage an den guten alten 80´er Jahre Rock, die ne Menge Spaß bereitet. Insgesamt finden JADED HEART einen gelungen Mix aus klassischem mitreißenden Rock und Metal-Elementen, die dem Sound eine aufregende Würze verleihen. Das Keybord habe ich nicht vermisst.

Fazit

JADED HEART haben sich eine starke Rüstung angelegt, treten mit imposanten Waffen an. So gehen sie als Gewinner aus der Arena. Satte 50 Minuten hauen die Männer dem Hörer astreinen metallastigen Rocksound um die Ohren. Da fällt es auch nicht so ins Gewicht, wenn zwei bis drei Songs vielleicht nicht ganz so stark zünden wie die anderen. Eine Stärke von „Stand Your Ground“ besteht darin, dass trotz der wunderbaren Melodiebögen nicht alles komplett weichgespült wurde. Hier gibt´s noch Ecken und Kanten, Rotz und Schmackes! Die Songs gestalten sich recht abwechslungsreich und rocken wie Sau!

Competing: JADED HEART in the category Heavy-Metal-Rock!

JADED HEART (Facebook ) are certainly no newcomers in the highly competitive music business and can look back on a long history. And they have always held their own with high-quality albums.

„Stand Your Ground“ is now the latest output (album no. 14!!!) and was released last year on 27.11.2020. The cover with the gladiator coincides perfectly with the heroic sound of JADED HEART. The Swedish-German band is known for first-class melodic rock, which it also likes to shift sometimes hard into the metal world. This is all the more noticeable because they did something completely different on the new album. „Stand Your Ground“ was recorded for the first time without keyboard samples.

Stand your ground

Gladiators fought for their lives in the arena. The title track „Stand Your Ground“ makes fittingly no half measures, but strides powerfully forward. Fast wild riffing pairs with beautiful catchy melodies. The leader Johan Fahlberg accompanies the whole thing skillfully with his rock voice. This is how you know JADED HEART and they practice it better than ever. Very good snappy heavy metal song. That already lets hero feelings arise.

In hard garment

also boast the other songs on the album. In „One Last Time“ the bass flexes its muscles imposingly, which comes into its own wonderfully in the quieter, non-riff-heavy passages. Hard riffing joins in. Johan then also likes to pack out the dirty rock tube. The chorus, on the other hand, shines with a wonderful melody.

„Reap What You Sow“ and „Hero To Zero“ drive forward with high attack speed. The fat bass crumbles every cover and the sharp guitar solos cut through the enemy’s armor. These features are an integral part of the sound on „Stand Your Ground“!

The 80’s touch

always resonates somewhere in the sound of JADED HEART, sometimes more subtle and sometimes clearer. Thus, the rousing rock anthem „Break Free“ hammers itself in classic style through the ears. A nice homage to the good old 80’s rock, which is a lot of fun. All in all JADED HEART find a successful mix of classic rousing rock and metal elements, which give the sound an exciting spice. So I didn’t miss the keyboard.

Result

JADED HEART have put on a strong armor, compete with imposing weapons. So they leave the arena as winners. For a full 50 minutes, the men hit the listener with a straight metal-heavy rock sound. So it doesn’t really matter if two or three songs don’t really hit the spot like the others. One of the strengths of „Stand Your Ground“ is that despite the wonderful melodic arcs, not everything has been completely softened. The songs are quite varied and rock like hell!
