INFECTED RAIN (Facebook) hatten am 26.11.2021 inmitten des Covid 19-Lockdowns ein Streaming-Konzert unter dem Namen „The Devil’s Dozen“ präsentiert. Nun gibt es dieses außergewöhnliche Erlebnis endlich auf DVD/BLURAY und 2-CD-Digipack. Und ich kann Euch den Erwerb nur ausdrücklich empfehlen!

Der absolute Hammer

Über mehr als 90 Minuten hat die Band eine fantastische Show abgefackelt, wobei alle ihrer Energie freien Lauf gelassen und den gesamten Platz der großen aufwendig gestalteten Bühne für sich genutzt haben. Daher war immer Action angesagt (der Drummer ist da bewegungstechnisch natürlich etwas eingeschränkt ).

Die brennende Fackel

auf der Bühne ist natürlich Lena Scissorhands. Dabei hebt sie sich mit ihren feurigen Haaren und dem flammenden Outfit optisch von den dunkel gekleideten Männern ab. Darüber hinaus weiß sie, was von einer Frontfrau ihres Kalibers erwartet wird! Nämlich POWER! Und die gab es satt! Dementsprechend schmettert sie einwandfrei die Growls heraus und auch ihre cleane Stimme klang tadellos, während sie ständig über die Bühne wirbelt.

Die Premiere

Lena ließ sich bei diesem Event zu einer Premiere hinreißen. Sie performte den Song „Storm“ vom letzten Album „Endorphin“. Dies hat sie zuvor noch nie getan. Der Song ist tatsächlich auch eine absolute Ausnahmeerscheinung, denn es handelt sich um eine reinrassige gefühlvolle Ballade, wobei Lenas Gesang ganz minimalistisch nur mit Keybords unterlegt wird. Damit sorgt man für eine kurze Erholung mit einer sehr schönen Erfahrung inmitten der ansonsten sehr brachialen Songs, für die INFECTED RAIN bekannt sind.

Tolle Lichtshow

Das Set besteht aus einem bunten Mix von Songs, wobei mr die Auswahl von vorne bis hinten gefallen hat. Demzufolge gibt es nicht einen Moment, in dem ich mich gelangweilt fühle. Darüber hinaus ist die Visualisierung sehr aufwendig und vermittelt eine tolle Atmosphäre. Es gibt eine beeindruckende Laser- bzw. Lichtshow. Als technische Raffinesse werden auf der Bühne Bilder und Videosequenzen projiziert, was das Ganze noch imposanter erschienen lassen. Hierbei sei noch angemerkt, dass die Bildqualität in HD ist super ist. Auch der Sound ist ebenfalls allererste Sahne.

INFECTED RAIN (Facebook) had presented a streaming concert under the name „The Devil’s Dozen“ on 26.11.2021. For me INFECTED RAIN are one of the absolute top acts in modern metal or metalcore. Now this extraordinary experience is available on DVD/BLURAY and 2-CD-Digipack. And I can only recommend the purchase to you!

Outstanding

For more than 90 minutes, the band torched a fantastic show, with everyone giving free rein to their energy and using the entire space of the large elaborately designed stage for themselves. Therefore, action was always announced (the drummer is of course somewhat limited in terms of movement ).

The burning torch

on stage is of course Lena Scissorhands. In doing so, she visually stands out from the dark-clad men with her fiery hair and flaming outfit. Moreover, she knows what is expected from a front woman of her caliber! Namely POWER! And there was plenty of it! Accordingly, she smashes the growls flawlessly and also her clean voice sounded impeccable while she constantly whirls across the stage.

The premiere

Lena let herself be carried away to a premiere at this event. She performed the song „Storm“ from the last album „Endorphin“. She has never done this before. The song is actually also an absolute exception, because it is a thoroughbred soulful ballad, whereby Lena’s vocals are quite minimalistically underlaid only with keyboards. This provides a short rest with a very nice experience in the midst of the otherwise very brute songs for which INFECTED RAIN are known.

Great light show

The set consists of a colorful mix of songs, and mr liked the selection from front to back. Consequently, there is not a moment when I feel bored. Furthermore, the visuals are very elaborate and convey a great atmosphere. There is an impressive laser or light show. As a technical refinement, images and video sequences are projected on stage, which makes the whole thing seem even more impressive. It should be noted that the picture quality in HD is super. The sound is also top notch.Therefore, a big praise to the technicians on site!

INFECTED RAIN (Facebook) haben letzten Freitag am 26.11.2021 ein Streaming-Konzert unter dem Namen „The Devil’s Dozen“ präsentiert. Für mich zählen INFECTED RAIN zu den absoluten Top Acts im Modern Metal bzw. Metalcore. Nun habe ich schon einige Streaming-Konzerte miterleben dürfen. Und ich weiß, dass diese Form der Konzerte kein richtiger Ersatz für ein Live-Konzert sind und daher etwas zwiegespalten bewertet werden. Die Qualität dieser Streaming-Konzerte schwankt natürlich. Vor allem zu Beginn dieser Notlösung in Pandemiezeiten gab es noch viele technische Probleme.

Der absolute Hammer

Doch was ich gestern erleben durfte, war der absolute Hammer! Über mehr als 90 Minuten hat die Band eine fantastische Show abgefackelt. Dabei hat die Band und die Mannschaft das Beste rausgeholt und für die Band gab es eine riesige Bühne, wo sie sich alle austoben konnten. Und dies haben sie auch getan. Währenddessen haben sie sich in ihre Musik und die Konzertsituation so reingefühlt, als wäre das Publikum vor Ort. Alle haben ihrer Energie freien Lauf gelassen und haben den Platz der gesamten Bühne für sich genutzt. Es war immer Action angesagt (der Drummer ist da bewegungstechnisch natürlich etwas eingeschränkt ).

Hier muss man auch feststellen, dass sie sich gesanglich super weiterentwickelt hat.

Tolle Lichtshow

Das Set bestand aus einem bunten Mix von Songs. Die Auswahl hat mir von vorne bis hinten gefallen und es gab nicht einen Moment, in dem ich mich gelangweilt fühlte. Auch die Visualisierung der Show war sehr aufwendig und hat eine tolle Atmosphäre erschaffen, in denen die Akteure agieren konnten. Es gab eine beeindruckende Laser- bzw. Lichtshow, die permanent in Aktion war und das Setting immer wieder wechselte. Als technische Raffinesse wurden auf der Bühne Bilder und Videosequenzen projiziert, was das Ganze noch imposanter erschienen ließ. Die Bildqualität in HD war super. Es gab keine Hänger oder Verpixelungen. Der Sound war ebenfalls allererste Sahne. Daher ein fettes Lob an die Techniker vor Ort! (Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass das Konzert vorher aufgezeichnet wurde, so dass damit einige technische Probleme umgangen wurden, die bei einem Live-Streaming entstehen könnten.)

Der Chat mit der Band

Dort machte die Band einen äußerst sympathischen Eindruck und Lena überraschte die Fans, indem sie einfach ihre Schwester eingeladen hatte. So ergab sich noch ein netter Talk, indem die Fans ihre Fragen loswerden konnten. Insgesamt brachten alle Fans zum Ausdruck, dass alle von der Show begeistert waren. Der Chat war überflutet von Lobgesängen auf INFECTED RAIN. Und das völlig zu Recht! So nutzten einige Fans die Möglichkeit der Band ein Trinkgeld z.B. per PayPal zukommen zu lassen.

Die Band hat übrigens im Chat verraten, dass am 09. Dezember noch eine Single vom kommenden Album veröffentlicht werden wird. Ansonsten war die Band wohl selber von der Vielzahl der Leute im Chat und Menge der Kommentare überrascht, so dass sie nicht auf jeden Kommentar und jede Frage eingehen konnten. Es war trotzdem ein vergnüglicher Chat mit einer sehr netten Band.

Die Dokumentation

Zu dem Streaming-Event gibt es noch die Möglichkeit sich eine Dokumentation über die Band anzusehen. Diese hat eine Länge von 150 Minuten und ihr werdet dort eine Menge spannende Dinge über die Bandgeschichte sehen und hören. Dort wird die beeindruckende Entwicklung einer Band gezeigt, die ihren Traum mit jeder Faser ihres Herzens verfolgt haben. Hierbei ist es erstaunlich mit anzusehen, wie sich die Entwicklung der Band vollzogen hat. So haben sie sich von einer kleinen sehr jungen lokalen Band aus dem kleinen Land Moldawien zu einer großen professionellen internationalen Band entwickelt, deren Karriere gerade durchstartet.

Bis dahin war es ein langer harter, ja sogar mitunter ein gefährlicher Weg, und es gehörte auch ein wenig Glück dazu. Dies wird in der Dokumentation alles sehr deutlich dargestellt. Dabei gibt es unter anderem Anekdoten über erste Konzerte, über einen schweren Autounfall im eiskalten Nirgendwo nach einem Konzert in Russland, über das Glück die richtigen Leute zu treffen (z.B. einen sehr netten Soundtechniker), über Zusammenhalt, aber auch über Enttäuschungen und über Labels und Manager, die eine Band verändern wollten.

Vielleicht wissen viele auch nicht, dass Lena vor einiger Zeit nach Amerika gezogen ist. Damit hat sie eine große Veränderung ihrem Leben vollzogen. Dies war ein Schritt, der ihr mit Sicherheit nicht leicht gefallen ist. Doch trotz der räumlichen Trennung lebt sie zusammen mit den anderen den Traum INFECTED RAIN weiter, indem sie immer wieder die Reise über den großen Teich auf sich nimmt, wenn es notwendig wird.

INFECTED RAIN (Facebook) presented a streaming concert under the name „The Devil’s Dozen“ last Friday on 11/26/2021. For me INFECTED RAIN are one of the absolute top acts in Modern Metal or Metalcore. Now I have already been able to experience some streaming concerts. And I know that this form of concerts are not a real substitute for a live concert and therefore are evaluated somewhat ambivalent. The quality of these streaming concerts fluctuates, of course. Especially at the beginning of this emergency solution in pandemic times, there were still many technical problems.

That was outstanding

But what I was allowed to experience was breathtaking! Over more than 90 minutes, the band torched a fantastic show. The band and the crew brought out the best. There was a huge stage where all band members could let off steam. And this is what they did. They got into their music and the concert situation with as much passion as if the audience was there. Everyone gave free rein to their energy and used the space of the entire stage for themselves. There was always action (the drummer is of course somewhat limited in his movement ).

This was a very nice experience amidst the otherwise very brute songs INFECTED RAIN are known for.

There was an impressive laser or light show that was permanently in action and kept changing the setting. As a technical refinement, images and video sequences were projected on the stage, which made the whole thing seem even more impressive. The picture quality in HD was first class. There were no hangs or pixelations. The sound was also top notch and was transmitted flawlessly. Therefore, a big praise to the technicians on site!

The chat with the band

There the band made an extremely sympathetic impression and Lena surprised the fans by simply inviting her sister. So there was a nice talk, where the fans could ask their questions. Overall, all the fans expressed that they were all excited about the show. The chat was flooded with praises for INFECTED RAIN. And completely rightly so! So some fans took the opportunity to tip the band e.g. via PayPal.

By the way, the band revealed in the chat that on December 9, another single from the upcoming album will be released. Otherwise, the band was probably surprised by the number of people in the chat and the amount of comments, so they could not respond to every comment and every question. It was still an enjoyable chat with a very nice band.

The documentary

In addition to the streaming event there is also the possibility to watch a documentary about the band. This has a length of 150 minutes and you will see and hear a lot of exciting things about the band history. It shows the impressive development of a band that pursued their dream with every fiber of their heart. Here it is amazing to see how the development of the band has taken place. Thus, they have developed from a small very young local band from the small country of Moldova to a large professional international band whose career is just taking off.

Until then, it was a long hard, partly a dangerous way, and a little luck was also part of it. This is all very clearly presented in the documentary. Among other things, there are anecdotes about the first concerts, about a serious car accident in the freezing cold nowhere after a concert in Russia, about the luck to meet the right people (e.g. a very nice sound technician), about cohesion, but also about disappointments and about labels and managers who wanted to change a band.

Maybe many people don’t know that Lena moved to America some time ago. This was a big change in her life. This was a step that was certainly not easy for her. But despite the spatial separation, she continues to live the dream INFECTED RAIN together with the others by always taking the journey across the big ocean when it becomes necessary.

Grandioses Event! Darf man nicht verpassen,

wenn man auf endgeilen Modern Metal steht, der es einem richtig hart und düster besorgt! INFECTED RAIN (Facebook) aus Moldawien sind eine Band, die auf jeden Fall Aufsehen erregt. Dies liegt zum einen an der sehr charismatischen und extrovertierten Frontfrau Lena Scissorhands, sondern auch zum anderen an ihrem krassen Sound. Im Januar wird das neue Album „Ecdysis“ veröffentlicht werden und ich verspreche nicht zuviel, indem ich einfach behaupte, dass es das erste fette Highlight des Jahres 2022 werden wird.

Warum?

Nun, ich hatte im Oktober bereits die erste Single „Postmortem Pt.1“ vorgestellt. Dieses Biest von einem Song ist ein extravagantes Metal-Erlebnis, dass ganz verschiedene Soundelemente in sich vereint und zu einem unglaublichen Event werden lässt. Die Single arbeitet mit sphärischen Elementen, die diesen Song ruhig einleiten. Doch ganz plötzlich gibt es einen harten Schnitt und Lena rasiert die Ruhe mit ihrem martialischen Screams weg. Einfach nur geil! Monströs, herzzerreißend, melodisch, träumerisch…. Mega! Mit weit über 320.000 Aufrufen ist das Video daher gut eingeschlagen!

Pulver verschossen?

Oh nein! Ganz und gar nicht! Denn INFECTED RAIN haben vor kurzem ihre zweite Single „Fighter“ rausgehauen. Das kann man sehr gerne wörtlich nehmen, denn hier zeigt Lena ihre schlagkräftige Seite und nebenbei eine erstaunliche Verwandlung. Mehr möchte ich hier nicht verraten. Schaut es Euch an und lasst Euch mitreißen! Selten so eine brutale Entladung von explosiver Energie gesehen und gehört! Voll krasser Scheiß!

Die Band gibt es tatsächlich bereits seit 13 Jahren. Anlässlich des neuen Albums „Ecdysis“ hat man sich etwas besonderes einfallen lassen. „The Devil’s Dozen“ ist nicht nur ein herkömmliches Streaming Event, sondern man taucht dabei in die Geschichte der Band ein, die im Rahmen einer spannenden und unterhaltsamen Dokumentation aufgearbeitet wird. Zusätzlich wird es eine Live-Streaming-Show geben. Und wenn ich mir die Videos der Band so anschaue, dann dürfte die Show ebenfalls ein absolutes Highlight werden. if you are into fucking awesome Modern Metal, which gives it to you really hard and gloomy!

INFECTED RAIN (Facebook) from Moldova are a band that definitely causes a stir. This is due to the very charismatic and extroverted frontwoman Lena Scissorhands on the one hand, but also on the other hand due to their blatant sound. On 07 January the new album „Ecdysis“ will be released and I do not promise too much by simply claiming that it will be the first fat highlight of the year 2022.

Why?

Well, I already presented the first single „Postmortem Pt.1“ in October. This beast of a song is an extravagant metal experience that combines very different sound elements and makes it an incredible experience. The single works with spherical elements that calmly introduce this song. But suddenly there is a hard cut and Lena shaves away the calm with her martial screams. Simply awesome! Monstrous, heartbreaking, melodic, dreamy…. Mega! With well over 320,000 views, the video is therefore well hit!

No more to give?

Oh no! Not at all! Because INFECTED RAIN have recently released their second single „Fighter“. This can be taken literally, because here Lena shows her punchy side and besides an amazing transformation. I don’t want to reveal more here. Just watch it and let yourself be carried away! Rarely seen and heard such a brutal discharge of explosive energy! Holy crap!
