Wer macht denn bei The Troops Of Doom mit?

Gegründet wurde diese sogenannte „Super-Group“ vom ehemaligen Sepultura-Gitarristen Jairo „Tormentor“ Guedz. Ihn unterstützen Bassist und Sänger Alex Kafer (Explicit Hate, ex-Necromancer) Schlagzeuger Alexandre Oliveira (Southern Blacklist) und Gitarrist Marcelo Vasca. Letzterer dürfte dem einen oder anderen als Graphiker bekannt sein, der schon für Bands wie Slayer, Kreator, Machine Head, Soulfly oder Hatebreed gearbeitet hat. Also: rundum keine Unbekannten, die sich da zu The Troops Of Doom zusammengefunden haben.

Die neue Platte „Antichrist Reborn“

Am 15. April 2022 erscheint nun das Erstlingswerk mit dem Albumtitel „Antichrist Reborn“ als CD bzw. Casette. Und später gibt es das Werk auch auf Vinyl. Via Alma Mater Records wird übrigens die Schallplatte veröffentlicht. Und Alma Mater Records gehört keinem Geringeren als Fernando Ribeiro von Moonspell. Die Metal-Szene ist einfach eine kleine, überschaubare Familie. Bislang hatten die vier Brasilianer mit The Rise Of Heresy (2020) und The Absence Of Light (2021) zwei EPs veröffentlicht. Nun also erneut harter 80´er Jahre Death Metal. Und dieses Mal als Full Length Album. Das Cover ist schon sehr vielversprechend. Aber seht selbst:

Das offizielle Musikvideo zum Song „Altar Of Delusion“

Aber nun genug der salbungsvollen Vorworte. Hört mal rein ins schmutzig brutale Geprügel des Super-Group-Quartetts. Das Musikvideo zum Track „Altar Of Delusion“ wurde just am 04. März auf youtube veröffentlicht.

Herrlicher Krach, oder? Die gesamte Platte Antichrist Reborn wurde übrigens in Schweden von Peter Tägtgren gemixt und im The Abyss Studio von Jonas Kjellgren gemastert. Gastmusiker gab es zuhauf, so z.B. João Gordo (Ratos de Porão) oder Alex Camargo & Moyses Kolesne (beide von Krisiun). Freut euch also auf echten Old School Death Metal in seiner primitivsten Form. Vorbestellungen zur Scheibe werden hier entgegengenommen.
