XAVIER BOSCHER ( Facebook ) ist ein Künstler aus Frankreich und hat am 20.11.2020 sein Album „Waterscapes“ veröffentlicht. Normalerweise bin ich kein Freund von rein instrumentalen Alben, aber ich muss zugeben, dass mich dieses Album doch irgendwie richtig gepackt und begeistert hat. Daher bin ich bin sehr froh, dass ich darauf gestoßen bin. Neben der Musik hat der New-Age-Künstler noch eine weitere Passion, nämlich die visuelle Kunst in Form der Malerei. Auf seiner Bandcamp-Seite lassen sich Gemälde von ihm ebenfalls erwerben. An Kreativität in jeglicher Form mangelt es XAVIER BOSCHER also nicht.

„Waterscapes“

entführt Euch mit neun Tracks in eine andere Welt voller traumhafter Klänge, die hierbei hauptsächlich von dem hervorragenden Gitarrenspiel des Künstlers erzeugt werden, aber nicht nur. Es gesellen sich noch diverse, teils ungewöhnliche Klänge hinzu, um ein atemberaubendes atmosphärisches Gesamtkunstwerk erstrahlen zu lassen. Selbstverständlich kommt bei mir beim Thema Gitarrenvirtuosen unter anderem JOE SATRIANI (ich hätte auch Marty Friedman nennen können) in den Sinn, der ebenfalls für seine phantastischen Gitarrenkünste bekannt ist. Allerdings unterscheiden sich die beiden Gitarrenvirtuosen dann doch in ihrer Art und Weise der Spielart. JOE SATRIANI ist durch und durch der bluesige und rockige Gitarrenheld, während XAVIER BOSCHER sich eher in andere klangliche Welten begibt, denen eine gewisse Form der Transzendenz anhaftet.

Nehmt Euch Ruhe und Zeit!

Erst dann eröffnen sich Euch all die Feinheiten und liebvollen Details, die das Album ausmachen. Erst dann könnt Ihr völlig in die Welt von „Waterscapes“ eintauchen.

„Cataract“

verschenkt keine Zeit mit einer ruhigen Einführung, sondern begeistert direkt mit seiner rockigen Ader. Der Song geht nach vorne und lässt dementsprechend die Saiten heiß laufen. Wer dem Meister mal bei seinen Kunstfertigkeiten zusehen möchte, der schaue und höre sich das folgende Video an.

Eine ganz andere Seite

offenbart sich dem Hörer sodann im Anschluss mit „Nectar Ocean´s Depths“. Es ist erheblich weniger los als beim Eröffnungstrack, aber das ist egal. Der Sound ist einfach nur spacig abgedreht und gibt sich ganz und gar dem Blues hin. Eine fantastische Nummer mit lässigem Groove, die einfach nur geil klingt!

Der Mythos Atlantis

weckt natürlich Assoziationen. Dementsprechend episch erhebt sich der gleichnamige Track. Er wird dabei neben Synthies von härteren Riffs eingeleitet. Der Song entwickelt sich in ganz unterschiedlichen Erscheinungsformen. Ein mächtiger Song!

„Hydrotherapy“ als Gegenpart ist ein zurückhaltender träumerischer Song, der einfach nur in sanften wundervollen Klängen dahinfließt. Ganz und gar unaufdringlich in beruhigender Art und Weise wird die Seele gestreichelt.

Fazit

Das Album hat eine transzendentale Ausstrahlung. Man kann sich als Hörer herrlich in die Welt von „Waterscapes“ fallen lassen und die Musik gestaltet sich so unterschiedlich wie die Wasserwelten auf unserem Globus.

Mal kann man rocken, dann wieder träumen oder nur staunen, aber folgende Eindrücke ziehen sich durch das gesamte Album: Bewunderung und Begeisterung!

XAVIER BOSCHER ist ein Virtuose an der Gitarre, absolut präzise und meisterhaft. Die Klänge reichen von glasklar über rockig bis hin zu außergewöhnlich. Es ist ein inspirierendes Album geworden, dass von vorne bis hinten wunderbar umgesetzt worden ist.

Normally I’m not a friend of pure instrumental albums, but I have to admit that this album somehow really grabbed me and excited me. So I am very glad that I came across it. Besides music, the new age artist has another passion, visual art in the form of painting. Paintings by him can also be purchased on his Bandcamp page. So XAVIER BOSCHER does not lack creativity in any form.

„Waterscapes“

takes you with nine tracks into another world full of dreamlike sounds, which are generated here mainly by the excellent guitar playing of the artist, but not only. There are also various, partly unusual sounds to let a breathtaking atmospheric work of art shine. Of course, when I think of guitar virtuosos, JOE SATRIANI for example ( I also could have named Marty Friedman) comes to mind, who is also known for his fantastic guitar skills.However, the two guitar virtuosos differ in the way they play. JOE SATRIANI is the bluesy and rocky guitar hero through and through, while XAVIER BOSCHER rather goes into other sonic worlds, to which a certain form of transcendence adheres.

Just do yourself a favor by listening to the album „Waterscapes“:

Take your time and relax!

Only then will all the subtleties and lovely details that make up the album reveal themselves to you. Only then can you fully immerse yourself in the world of „Waterscapes“.

„Cataract“

doesn’t waste time with a quiet introduction, but inspires directly with its rocky vein. The song goes forward and accordingly lets the strings run hot. If you want to watch the master at his artistry, watch and listen to the following video.

A completely different side

then reveals itself to the listener with „Nectar Ocean’s Depths“. There is considerably less going on than on the opening track, but that doesn’t matter. The sound is just spacey weird and gives itself completely to the blues. A fantastic track with a casual groove that just sounds awesome!

The myth Atlantis

naturally evokes associations. Accordingly, the eponymous track rises epically. It is thereby introduced next to synths by harder riffs. The song develops in quite different manifestations. A powerful song!

„Hydrotherapy“ as a counterpart is a restrained dreamy song that just flows in gentle wonderful sounds. Quite unobtrusively in a soothing manner, the soul is stroked.

Result

The album has a transcendental aura. As a listener you can let yourself fall into the world of „Waterscapes“ and the music is as different as the water worlds on our earth.

Sometimes you can rock, then again dream or just marvel, but the following impressions run through the entire album: admiration and enthusiasm!

XAVIER BOSCHER is without a doubt a virtuoso on the guitar, absolutely precise and masterful. The sounds range from crystal clear to rocking to extraordinary. It has become an inspiring album that has been wonderfully realized from front to back.
