Neue Platte von FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY

Am 14. Januar 2022 werden Joseph Badolato, die drei Gitarristen Patrick Sheridan, Timothy Howley und Will Putney sowie die Rhythmus-Abteilung um Bassist Peter Blue Spinazola und Schlagzeuger Josean Orta Martinez ihren aktuellen Silberling veröffentlichen. Bereits im Vorfeld haben sich FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY nicht lumpen lassen und schon mehrere Tracks rausgehauen. Starten wir mit einem fetten Growl-Brett, dem Song „Far From Heaven“ nämlich:

Bereits Ende Oktober 2021 hatten FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY das offizielle Musik-Video zum Track „Pandora“ veröffentlicht und damit quasi die Büchse zum neuen Album „OH WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS“ geöffnet. Hört und schaut selbst:

Body Count veröffentlichen ihre erste Videosingle aus dem neuen Album. „Bloodlust“ wird am Freitag den 31. März 2017 über Century Media erscheinen. Ice-T über die Ausrichtung von „Bloodlust“

Der Body Count Frontmann sagte im Gespräch mit Revolver über das neue Album:

Making records is a very interesting process. You work really hard on something and finish it and then you’ll be, like, ‚Yo, that sounds like somebody else’s record.‘ Or, ‚Hey, didn’t we just make that record three days ago? One time we did two songs in a row and afterwards I looked at them and said, ‚That’s the same riff in each song.‘ So we had to pick one. But in the end, we came up with some very aggressive and cool music. I like to start with hot metal tracks that you can listen to without a word on them and go, ‚Wow, that was just like fire!’ The music tells me what the song is about, and that’s when the words start coming to me. Then it’s up to me not to fuck it up.

Über den Albumtitel sagte Ice-T:

Bloodlust is part of the human makeup. Murder is about as normal as love. It’s in our nature to want to get violent and kill, but we know there are consequences. That’s why we like violent movies, video games and combat sports. It’s in our DNA. It’s what we are.

Ice-T und seine Jungs von Body Count haben letzes Jahr einen neuen Plattenvertrag bei Century Media Records unterschrieben. Dies teilte das Label am Freitag, den 17. Juni 2016 mit. Die Band erhielt dabei einen weltweiten Vertrag, der die Veröffentlichung des neuen Album „Bloodlust“ quer über den Globus ermöglichen soll. Nun erscheint der erste Teaser zur neuen Videosingle „No Lives Matter“. Der Rap-Titan sagte jüngst zur Zusammenarbeit mit dem neuen Label:

It’s cool to be a member of The Century Label Group alongside such a lot of well-established metal artists. With our last album Manslaughter, we tested the waters and got a great response from the fans and critics. Now it’s time to go kill it and make a more aggressive album and keep the BODY COUNT style intact.

Die Band hat die Arbeiten am Nachfolger zum 2014er „Manslaugther“ mit Produzent Will Putney abgeschlossen. Der Body Count-Chef freute sich sehr über die erneute Zusammenarbeit und sagte über Putney:

Producer, Will Putney (Miss May I, Upon A Burning Body), is like a member of the band and has an excellent ear. He’s a great producer because he captures the true essence of our band’s sound. Once we are done writing the song it’s his job to step in and make it sound better. He helps move the record in the right direction, were anticipating working with him again. Once the records done, were going to shoot a lot of music videos and perform spot-dates on certain tests, etc.

Teaser zur ersten Videosingle aufgetaucht

Die Band veröffentlichte Ende Januar einen Teaser zur ersten Videosingle „No Lives Matter“. Das Release ist für den 17. Februar 2017 geplant. Wann „Bloodlust“ genau erscheinen wird, wird in den nächsten Wochen bekanntgegeben.

Eine weitere Überraschung gibt es noch zum Album. Megadeth-Frontmann Dave Mustaine wird ein Gastspiel geben und ein Solo zum Titeltrack „Bloodlust“ beitragen. Dazu sagte Dave schlicht:

Das musste ich einfach. Dieser Song ist der Hammer! Freut mich, dass es dir gefallen hat. Das war mit Abstand mein liebster Gastauftritt. Danke noch mal!

Das letzte Album „Manslaugther“ erschien 2014, und war der erste Silberling nach dem 2006er Album „Murder 4 Hire“. Das Album wurde von Fans und Kritikern hochgelobt, und ermöglichte der Band im Sommer 2015 auf namenhaften Festivals wie u.a. Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgien oder dem Pink Pop Festival in Holland zu spielen.
