Die britische Folk-Metal Institution SKYCLAD wird die finnischen Melodic-Death-Metaller von ENSIFERUM auf dem ersten Teil ihrer Europatour in diesem September als Special Guest begleiten, zudem werden deren finnischen Landsleute von WOLFHEART mit an Bord sein. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 1990 stehen SKYCLAD für äußerst originelle Songs und einen inspirierenden Soundmix von Heavy Metal und Folk. Ihre Texte wurden stets von sozialen, politischen und Umweltthemen bestimmt und das neue Album „Forward Into The Past“ (HIER die Review unseres Doc Rock) bildet da keine Ausnahme. Sänger Kevin Ridley kommentiert wie folgt:

The songs are about politics, the environment and the music business and so on. These are mixed with the standard Skyclad fayre of traditional bawdy/drinking type of songs and songs with blues and more ‚ethnic‘ feels.

Neues Video zu „Starstruck“

Die kommende Tour hat SKYCLAD zum Anlass genommen, ein neues Video zum Song „Starstruck“ zu produzieren. Kevin Ridley äußert sich dazu wie folgt:

As part of our continuing promotion for the new album, „Forward Into The Past“ (Listenable Records, 2017), Skyclad are pleased to announce the release of a new video for the track „Starstruck“. The video has again been produced by Fernando J. Martinez, but adopts a very different approach to that of the recent lyric video for „Change Is Coming“.
