Ein Highlight des Jahres 2020

waren für mich die KINGSMEN (Facebook). Daher habe ich mich sehr gefreut, dass die amerikanische Band aktuell wieder mit einem neuen Output von sich reden macht. Ihr Debütalbum „Revenge. Forgiveness, Recovery“ aus dem Jahr 2020 war jedenfalls so geil, dass es direkt in meinen Best Of des Jahres 2020 gelandet ist. Das Review findet Ihr hier. Und bevor wir zu dem brandneuen Song kommen, könnt Ihr noch mal in den Song „Nightmare“ vom letzten Album reinschauen und reinhören. Der Song haut richtig rein!

„Trial By Fire“

ist nun der neuste Streich von KINGSMEN. Der neue Song unterscheidet sich von dem obigen schon in einigen Dingen. „Trial By Fire“ ist melodischer geworden. Sänger Tanner Guimond hat wohl an seinem cleanen Gesang gearbeitet und dies hört man! Ist ja nicht so, dass mir die Vocals auf dem letzten Album nicht gefallen hätten. Aber die cleanen Vocals hat man dort nicht so gehört. Auch wenn die aktuelle Single ein wenig an Härte einbüßt, so punktet der Song an anderen Stellen. Der melodische Faktor hat zumindest bei diesem Output starken Einzug gefunden, wobei es natürlich noch lange kein Schmusesong geworden ist. Die würzige und knallige Härte ist nach wie vor vorhanden. Es scheint, als ob KINGSMEN ihr Potential weiter ausgebaut haben. So darf man gespannt sein, was die nächsten Singles und das neue Album hervorbringen werden. Ich erwarte Großes von den KINGSMEN!

‚Trial By Fire“ entstand, nachdem wir am Tag vor der Aufnahme ins Studio einen Ausflug mit der gesamten Band nach Gettysburg unternommen hatten. Im Dezember 2020 schien die Welt und insbesondere unser Land extrem gespalten und angespannt. Das Lernen über unsere Geschichte und das Verstehen dessen, was unsere vergangenen Generationen von tapferen Männern und Frauen ertragen mussten, gab uns Hoffnung für unsere Zukunft.

Mit dieser Hoffnung hatten wir eine Idee. Wir wollten einen Song erschaffen, der von Generationen tapferer Männern und Frauen geprägt ist, und uns Hoffnung für unsere Zukunft gibt. Der Song sollte von Spannungen erzählen und davon, wie schwierige Zeiten zu einer besseren Zukunft führen können, wenn wir alle einen Weg finden, zusammenzukommen. Das Musikvideo ist voll von den Farben Rot und Blau. Damit wollten wir unterbewusst hervorheben, dass wir uns alle zusammenschließen müssen, um eine bessere Zukunft zu schaffen, egal auf welcher Seite des politischen, sozialen oder wirtschaftlichen Spektrums man steht.

„Sad But True“

ist selbstverständlich kein neuer Song von den KINGSMEN, aber sie haben ein ziemlich geiles Cover davon aufgenommen. Und ich möchte Euch dies nicht vorenthalten, denn es knallt richtig gut durch. Dabei bleibt es dem Original sehr treu.

were for me KINGSMEN (Facebook). Therefore, I was very pleased when the American band came with a new song. Their debut album „Revenge. Forgiveness, Recovery“ from 2020 was so cool that it landed directly in my Best Of of the year 2020. And before we get to the brand new song, you can take a look and listen to the song „Nightmare“ from the last album. The song really hits the spot!

„Trial By Fire“

is now the latest strike of KINGSMEN. The new song differs from the above already in some things. „Trial By Fire“ has become more melodic. Singer Tanner Guimond must have worked on his clean vocals and you can hear that! I didn’t have problems with the vocals on the last album. But I didn’t hear the clean vocals in this form there. Even if the current single loses a little bit in hardness, the song scores in other places. The melodies are a strong factor in the new song, although of course it far from a cuddly song. The spicy and slamming hardness is still there. It seems as if KINGSMEN have further expanded their potential. So one can be curious what the next singles and the new album will bring forth. I expect great things from the KINGSMEN!

‚Trial By Fire‘ was created after we took a full band trip to Gettysburg the day before entering the studio. In December 2020, the world and especially our country seemed extremely divided and tense. Learning about our history and understanding what our past generations of brave men and women endured gave us hope for our future.

With that hope, we had an idea. We wanted to create a song generations of brave men and women endured gave us hope for our future. We wanted a song that speaks about tension and how tough times can lead to a better future if we can all find a way to come together. The music video is full of colors of Red & Blue. We did this to subconsciously highlight that no matter what side of the political/social o economic spectrum you belong to; we all need to merge and come together to create a better future.

is of course not a new song from KINGSMEN, but they recorded a pretty cool cover. And I don’t want to withhold this from you, because it bangs really well. It is to say that it stays very true to the original.

I’m super excited about this new album, as it marks a new era of the band. First of all, it’s our first album for Listenable Records, and It’s also our first album with new drummer Cederick who joined us last year. I’m also back to playing guitar, and I couldn’t be happier! When it comes to style and music, we decided to do something we feel very comfortable and honest with, and show everyone where we belong and where we come from. So yes, „The Cult“ marks Crystal Viper’s return to its roots, pure classic heavy metal! You might even want to call it old school, as we feel we‘ve never had as many catchy guitar riffs and harmonies than on any of our other albums.
