PRIME CREATION – „Tell Freedom I Said Hello“ Review
(english review below)
Genre: Melodic Power Metal
VÖ: 25.08.2023

PRIME CREATION (Facebook) stammen aus Schweden. „Tell Freedom I Said Hello“ heißt ihr neues Werk und auf diesem demonstieren sie starken Power Metal. Die Singles „State Dominion“ und „Dystopia“ waren bereits Gäste ins unserer Playlist „METALHEADs new stuff“.
Da hört man sehr gerne hin.
Da war dann zunächst „State Dominion“.
Fazit

PRIME CREATION (Facebook) come from Sweden. „Tell Freedom I Said Hello“ is the title of their new album and on it they offer strong melodic power metal. The singles „State Dominion“ and „Dystopia“ were already guests in our playlist „METALHEADs new stuff“.
The cover is a real eye-catcher and was once again conjured up by REMEDY ART DESIGN (Facebook). Giannis Nakos is a fantastic grafic designer and invents again and again great new pictures for the most different bands and music directions.
The excellent visual appearance is also reflected in the physical copies.
Anthemic power metal
The intro introduces the album atmospherically and is well worth listening to. It gradually becomes more intense and finally prepares a smooth transition into the first song „Promised Land“, which maximizes the epic feeling once again. You could enjoy strong riffs. The whole thing is fired with strong drums. PRIME CREATION also make use of synths, which can be heard in varying degrees of presence on the album. Thus, the songs are dressed in a nice atmospheric garb.
Singer Esa Englund is fantastic singer. With a powerful and melodic voice he spoils the ears. Also the polyphonic parts come across damn good. These excellent ingredients promise great things.
Very catchy it goes with „Erased“ to the point. With full power, the song makes pressure and then shines with a really cool chorus, which immediately settles in the ear. The song would certainly have been super suitable as a single. But they decided for other songs. There was then first „State Dominion“. Why did you decide on this song? Well, it’s probably because all the strengths of the band are played out in this song. The song has balladesque features as well as strong powerful parts to offer, so that also vocally everything is offered and may be admired. This is really great cinema.
The album remains at a high level throughout
„Journey Through A Wasteland“ is also one of the many highlights and a special one. The song is again very exciting and multi-layered. And from minute 02:35 PRIME CREATION show in a small Mad Max race that they are quite able to drive quite the hard way. So you can hear that there is a lot of potential to show themselves from very different sides. Therefore, I would have liked to see more courage and bravado overall, in that they would have dared a bit more harder moments and outbreaks, instead of sometimes relying too much on the melodic epic component.
„Dystopia“ as the closing track once again lets a darker aura rise, which forms a phenomenal conclusion here in the form of a gloomy power ballad. A highly atmospheric story is made music, which is crowned by the outstanding vocals. You can’t hear enough of this. A gigantic conclusion of the album!
Conclusion
PRIME CREATION impressively show on their album „Tell Freedom I Said Hello“ how to create highly atmospheric power metal songs. Overall, it is a very melodic experience that acts with a good punchy heaviness. Above all, the excellent singer Esa towers with his gorgeous voice. The anthemic songs excellently show the great potential of the band!
