TALES OF MIKE – neue Single „Human Masquerade“

Wir hatten schon mal über den Musiker Michael Heß berichtet, der das Projekt TALES OF MIKE ins Leben gerufen hatte. Der Hintergrund für die Entstehung ist allerdings sehr trauriger Natur, denn es ging um den Verlust eines geliebten Menschen, nämlich seines Bruders. Die erste Mini-EP „Landscape Of Sorrow“ aus dem letzten Jahr war dementsprechend ein höchst emotionales Erlebnis. Wer mehr darüber wissen möchte und ich würde es jedem wirklich empfehlen, der sollte sich den Artikel darüber hier durchlesen.

Eigentlich war es für Michael eher eine persönliche Sache, einen Song über den Tod seines Bruders zu komponieren. Es war eine spezielle Art der mentalen Verarbeitung des seelischen Schmerzes. Es sollte nur ein Song werden. Dann wurde es eine EP und die kam in der Szene so gut an, dass zusammen mit Sänger Gonzalo Civita und dem Gitarristen Henrik Schaller nun die neue Single „Human Masquerade“ veröffentlicht wurde.

Ich habe es nicht anders erwartet. „Human Masquerade“ ist wieder ein ein Knaller geworden und fügt sich wunderbar in die Reihe hochkarätiger Songs ein. Der Song treibt energisch nach vorne. Insgesamt klingt der Song schön old school. Die Produktion ist druckvoll, gleichzeitig roh und schmutzig. Der Gesang ist wieder überragend. Die Stimme von Gonzalo ist so verdammt geil und verleiht dem Sound eine unvergleichliche Schärfe und Eindringlichkeit.

Wir wissen, dass Michael an weiteren Songs arbeitet, um eine weitere EP oder sogar ein Album fertigzustellen. Die bisherigen Songs waren hervorragend und wenn die Songs weiterhin so eine Qualität aufweisen, dann freue ich mich jetzt schon darauf und bin mir sicher, dass das Album ein Burner wird.

We previously reported on the musician Michael Heß, who brought the TALES OF MIKE project to life. However, the background to its creation is of a very sad nature, as it was about the loss of a loved one, namely his brother. The first mini-EP „Landscape Of Sorrow“ from last year was accordingly a highly emotional experience. It was actually more of a personal thing for Michael to compose a song about the death of his brother. It was a special way of mentally processing the emotional pain. It was just supposed to be a song. Then it became an EP and it was so well received in the scene that the new single „Human Masquerade“ has now been released, once again together with singer Gonzalo Civita and guitarist Henrik Schaller.

I didn’t expect anything else. „Human Masquerade“ is another banger and fits wonderfully into the series of high-calibre songs. The song drives forwards energetically. Overall, the song sounds pretty old school. The production is powerful, raw and dirty at the same time. The vocals are once again outstanding. Gonzalo’s voice is so damn awesome and gives the sound an unrivalled sharpness and urgency.

We know that Michael is working on more songs to finish another EP or even an album. The songs so far have been excellent and if the songs continue to be of this quality, then I’m already looking forward to it and I’m sure the album will be a burner.
