Hallo Fans des Rock und Metal!

Willkommen bei www.metal-heads.de!Ich bin Redakteur METALHEAD und habe die Playlist ‚METALHEADs new stuff‘ ins Leben gerufen. Dafür wühle ich mich durch die aktuellen Single-Veröffentlichungen und präsentiere und mache dabei keine Unterschiede zwischen bekannten Bands oder Newcomern, wobei es vorrangig um die Förderung des Undergrounds geht. Bei uns muss man sich nicht „einkaufen“, um Erwähnung zu finden. Es muss einfach gute Musik sein. Es werden alle Musikrichtungen von Rock bis Black Metal berücksichtigt. So entsteht ein bunter Mix, damit für jeden Geschmack etwas geboten wird. Oder man hört einfach (fast) alles und bekommt ein Rundumpaket.

Die Playlist soll nicht übermäßig lang werden und stets aktuell bleiben. Daher die ältesten Songs nach ca. vier Wochen raus. Sonst würde man den Überblick verlieren. Also hört rein!

Es würde natürlich vor allem den Underground-Bands zu Gute kommen, wenn diese Playlist geliked und geteilt werden würde, sowohl von Fans als auch Bands. So würde mehr Reichweite generiert werden und das wäre vor allem für die noch nicht so bekannten Bands ein sehr positiver Effekt.

Hello fans of Rock and Metal!

Welcome to www.metal-heads.de! I’m editor METALHEAD and have created the playlist ‚METALHEAD’s new stuff‘. To do this, I browse daily through the latest single releases and present and make no distinction between well-known bands or newcomers, with the primary aim of promoting the underground. At ‚metal-heads.de‘ you don’t have to „buy in“ to be mentioned and supported. It simply has to be good music. All music genres from rock to black metal are considered. This creates a colorful mix so that there is something for every taste. Or you can simply listen to (almost) everything and get an all-round package.

The playlist should not be excessively long and should always remain up to date. That’s why the oldest songs are removed after about four weeks. Otherwise you would lose the overview. So listen in!

Of course, it would be especially beneficial for the underground bands if this playlist would be liked and shared, both by fans and bands. This would generate more reach and that would be a very positive effect especially for the not yet so well known bands.

sind immer ein Garant für grandiosen Metalcore. Auf dem letzten verdammt starken Album „the classic symptoms of a broken spirit“ (Review) fuhr man wieder die härtere Schiene (als auf dem Vorgänger „For Those That Wish To Exist“ (Review)) und konnte dabei trotzdem mit einer tollen Vielfältigkeit auftrumpfen. Vor allem gesanglich hat man sich sehr gut entwickelt.

Und mit der neuen Single „Seeing Red“ gibt es einen weiteren Banger. Meine Fresse…Der Beginn wird Euch schon richtig hart aus den Schuhen pusten. Die Intensität bleibt dem Song erhalten! Auch wenn er beim Refrain in die cleanen Vocals wechselt, bleibt es ein krasser Monstersong mit Nackenbrechergarantie. Und zum Mitsingen beim Refrain eignet er sich auch noch!

INFECTED RAIN

zelebrieren den modernen brutalen Metal auf ihre ganz eigene Weise, wofür vor allem die einzigartige Ausnahmevocalistin Lissa Scissorhands verantwortlich ist. Natürlich geht nichts ohne eine brachiale instrumentale Begleitung und selbstverständlich wird auch diese wie gewohnt hammermäßig umgesetzt. INFECTED RAIN (Facebook) stehen kurz vor der Veröffentlichung ihres neuen Albums „TIME“, das am 9. Februar 2024 über Napalm Records erscheint.

INFECTED RAIN sagt über „BECAUSE I LET YOU“:

In „BECAUSE I LET YOU“ erforschen wir das Paradoxon des Liebesschmerzes und untersuchen, wie unsere tiefste Zuneigung zu unseren größten Wunden führen kann. Es ist eine rohe Reflexion über die Verletzlichkeit, die wir in der Liebe preisgeben, und wie manchmal diejenigen, denen wir am meisten vertrauen, unsere Geheimnisse und Ängste gegen uns verwenden können. Dieser Song handelt nicht nur von den Kämpfen in Beziehungen; er ist ein Spiegel für den Mut, den es braucht, um diese komplexe Realität anzuerkennen und auszusprechen.

SHRAPNEL

Das letzte Album „Palace For The Insane“ (Review) ist schon drei Jahre her. Also wird es Zeit für etwas neues. Die neue Single heißt „In Gravity“ und wird zusammen mit Scott Kennedy von BLEED FROM WITHIN geschmettert. SHRAPNEL (Facebook) werden damit hoffentlich ein neues Album ankündigen.

Denn der Song „In Gravity“ ist toller moderner Thrash Metal, der zunächst mit schönen melodischen, aber auch kraftvollen dynamischen Vocals super ins Ohr geht. Doch der Song entpuppt sich dann in der zweiten Hälfte doch noch als düsterer Brecher mit sehr drastischen Vocals. Ein unerwartete Entwicklung und eine neue Facette im Sound von SHRAPNEL. Mit dieser Mischung geht so einiges! Es ist also verdammt spannend, was SHRAPNEL auf ihrem neuen Album für einen Sound mixen werden. Warten wir mal die nächste Single ab, die uns wieder ein wenig mehr vom Kuchen offenbaren wird.

EMIL BULLS

EMIL BULLS (Facebook)stehen kurz vor der Veröffentlichung ihres mit Spannung erwarteten neuen Albums „Love Will Fix It“ am 12. Januar 2024. Dieses Album markiert einen neuen Abschnitt auf der musikalischen Reise von EMIL BULLS. Man darf gespannt sein, wie dieser neue Abschnitt sich darstellen wird. Denn wenn man sich die neue Single „Love Will Fix It“ anhört, so zeigt diese sich im Gegensatz zu den vorausgegangenen Singles „Whirlwind Of Doom“ und „The Devil Made Me Do It“ mehr von einer melodischen soften Seite. „Love Will Fix It“ ist nämlich kein aggressiver moderner Metalcore-Banger, sondern eher ein moderner eingängiger Rocksong, der mit positiven kraftvollen Vibes aufputschen will. Das könnte auch locker ein Radiohit werden.

Wohlwissend um den etwas anderen Stil bei dem neuen Song hat die Band mit einer guten Portion Humor das Video umgesetzt.

are always a guarantee for great Metalcore. On their last damn strong album „the classic symptoms of a broken spirit“ (Review) , they once again took the harder route (than on their predecessor „For Those That Wish To Exist“ (Review)) and were still able to show off their great diversity. Vocally in particular, the band has developed very well.

And the new single „Seeing Red“ is another banger. WOW!… The beginning hits you so damn hard. The song retains its intensity! Even it switches to clean vocals in the chorus, it remains a blatant monster song with a neck-breaker guarantee. And it’s also suitable for singing along to the chorus!

INFECTED RAIN

celebrate modern brutal metal in their very own way, for which the unique and exceptional vocalist Lissa Scissorhands is primarily responsible. Of course, nothing works without a brute instrumental accompaniment and of course this is also implemented in their awesome sound. In „Because I Let You“, we delve into the paradox of love’s pain, exploring how our deepest affections can lead to our greatest wounds. It’s a raw reflection on the vulnerability we expose in love, and how sometimes those we trust most can wield our secrets and fears against us. This song isn’t just about the struggles in relationships; it’s a mirror to the courage it takes to acknowledge and voice this complex reality.

SHRAPNEL

It’s been three years since the last album „Palace For The Insane“. So it’s time for something new. The new single is called „In Gravity“ and is sung together with Scott Kennedy (BLEED FROM WITHIN). SHRAPNEL (Facebook) will hopefully use it to announce a new album.

Because the song „In Gravity“ is great modern Thrash Metal, which is initially very catchy with beautiful melodic, but also powerful dynamic vocals. But in the second half, the song turns out to be a dark crusher with very drastic vocals when Scott Kennedy starts blasting. An unexpected development and a new facet in SHRAPNEL’s sound. This sounds fucking cool!

EMIL BULLS

EMIL BULLS (Facebook) are about to release their new album „Love Will Fix It“ on January 12, 2024. This album marks a new chapter in EMIL BULLS‘ musical journey. It will be interesting to see what this new chapter will look like. Because if you listen to the new single „Love Will Fix It“, it shows more of a melodic soft side in contrast to the previous singles „Whirlwind Of Doom“ and „The Devil Made Me Do It“. „Love Will Fix It“ is not an aggressive modern metalcore banger, but rather a modern, catchy rock song that wants to get you pumped up with positive, powerful vibes. It could easily be a radio hit.

Well aware of the slightly different style of the new song, the band has implemented the video with a good dose of humor.

MANTICORA

entfesseln die zweite Single „Necropolitans“ von ihrem kommenden Album „“Mycelium“, welches am 26.01.2024 über Mighty Music erscheinen wird. Und auch die zweite Single ist ein megastarker Auftritt der dänischen Band MANTICORA (Facebook), so dass diese natürlich hier bei HÖRET & SEHET vorgestellt wird. Nach dem letzten Mammutprojekt mit zwei Alben, mit welchen der Roman von Frontmann Lars. F. Larsen musikalisch umgesetzt wurde, scheint man nun auf dem neuen Album „Mycelium“ weniger progressiv aufzuspielen. Zumindest die letzten beiden Singles weisen daraufhin, dass die Spielzeiten kürzer und es eingängiger zur Sache geht.

Der Opener des letzten Albums „To Live To Kill To Live“ (Review) ging satte 14 Minuten. „Necropolitans“ als Zünder des neuen Albums „Mycelium“ geht da einen erheblich kürzeren Weg. An Energie mangelt es MANTICORA allerdings nach wie vor nicht. „Necropolitans“ besticht mit eingängigen melodischen Gesangslinien, die schon ins theatralische gehen. Ansonsten gibt es instrumental die volle Breitseite. Wer MANTICORA kennt, der weiß, dass er technisch hochwertige Kost serviert bekommt. Sollte das Albums lauter so Kracher wie die bereits veröffentlichten Singles enthalten, dann dürfen wir uns wohl über ein richtig starkes Album freuen.

AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE

Nach fast 10 Jahren Abwesenheit hat sich die nach eigener Einschätzung „brutalste“ Band der Welt, AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE (Facebook) , zurückgemeldet. „No Pain No Gain“ war vor vier Wochen die erste Single des kommenden Albums „Quad Brutal“, das am 23.02.2024 über Napalm Records erscheinen wird.

AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE ist ein Projekt von As I Lay Dying-Frontmann Tim Lambesis. „Quad Brutal“ wird von Gästen auf jedem Track unterstützt. Zusätzlich zu den Gesangsbeiträgen von Dany Lambesis (HELLBØRN) werden die Tracks von den professionellen Bodybuildern und Sängern Craig Golias und Rob Bailey gnadenlos aufgeputscht. Außerdem finden sich Ricky Hoover (Ov Sulfur, ex-Suffokate) ein, so wie die Gitarrenvirtuosen Angel Vivaldi, Clayton King und Brandon Richter (Bleeding Through), Joey Alarcon (Wolves at the Gate, Born Through Fire) und noch mehr. Oh, and Ahhnold selber natürlich auch!

Ich kann mit Stolz sagen, dass „Don’t Be Lazy“ der am wenigsten brutale Song auf „Quad Brutal“ ist. Dennoch ist es ein durchweg krachender Song, der sich auf 280 bpm beschleunigt. Und er präsentiert den größten Menschen, der jemals in ein Mikrofon geschrien hat. Ahhnold wollte, dass ich eine Hymne schreibe, an die sich selbst die größten Idioten im Fitnessstudio erinnern können, damit sie nicht vergessen, ihre Gewichte neu zu sortieren. Abgesehen davon gibt es NICHTS mehr zu sagen. Stresst die Leute nicht, indem ihr eure Gewichte nicht wegräumt!

Der Song ist brutaler Brecher. Aber die Band geht gleichzeitig mit einer Tonne Humor an die Sache heran. Ich habe mich jedenfalls beim Genuß dieses Videos köstlich amüsiert und das nicht nur einmal. Einfach nur geil! Diese Idee mit diesen Mini-Mikrofonen allein ist schon Weltklasse!

MEGATON SWORD

kommen aus der Schweiz. MEGATON SWORD (Facebook) rocken starken Heavy Metal. Das neue Album „Might & Power“ wurde bereits dieses Jahr veröffentlicht und könnt ihr auf Bandcamp erwerben. Nun gibt es vom Opener „The Ravin Light Of Day“ ein Live-Video.

Und ich muss sagen, dass mir diese Version noch besser gefällt als die Studio-Version. Was für eine geile Performance! Die Stimme von Uzzy Unchained klingt einfach nur mega bei diesem mächtigen Song. Sollte die Band jemals in meiner Nähe live spielen, werde ich auf jeden Fall dabei sein. Das lasse ich mir nicht entgehen, denn auch instrumental spielt die Band fett auf.

AORTHA

Das Projekt AORTHA (Facebook) von Predrag Glogovac hat eine ganz besondere Geschichte und es hat eines der besten Alben 2023 hervorgebracht. Wer mehr darüber wissen möchte, der sollte sich das Review und das Interview hier bei ‚metal-heads.de‘ durchlesen. Es gibt zudem ein neues Video zu dem Song „Forging The Locus“.

Auch diese Single zeigt mehr als eindrucksvoll wie packender anspruchsvoller Heavy Metal zu klingen hat. Megageile Riffs, ein fantastischer Sänger, lebendige Drums und ein strenger Bass machen neben dem hervorragenden Songwriting die Songs von AORTHA aus. Allein dieser massive Beginn ist eine mächtige Kampfansage, bis das Ding dann in die Vollen geht und sich von seiner thrashigen Seite zeigt. Geschicke Tempiwechsel und epische Gesangslinien vervollkommnen diesen hammergeilen Song.

Die Botschaft ist mehr als deutlich: Es ist wichtig, sich als Mensch zu erheben, und besonders in dieser verrückten Welt, in der wir alle leben. Es ist wichtiger denn je, positiv und stark zu bleiben, für sich selbst und für die Menschen um einen herum!

Apart from that, you will be attacked by full force. Every fan of MANTICORA knows that they will get technically high-quality fare. If the album contains as many hits as the singles already released, then we can look forward to a really strong album.

AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE

After an absence of almost 10 years, the „most brutal“ band in the world has returned. Four weeks ago, AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE (Facebook) delivered „No Pain No Gain“ as the first single from the upcoming album „Quad Brutal“, which will be released on February 23, 2024 via Napalm Records.

AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE is a project by As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis. „Quad Brutal“ is supported by guests on every track – in addition to vocal contributions from Dany Lambesis (HELLBØRN), the tracks are mercilessly amped up by professional bodybuilders and vocalists Craig Golias and Rob Bailey. I can proudly say that ‚Don’t Be Lazy‘ is the least brutal song on Quad Brutal because it’s still crushing, ramping up to 280 bpm, and features the largest human to ever scream into a microphone. Ahhnold wanted me to create an anthem that even the biggest idiots in the gym can remember so they don’t forget to re-rack their weights. Other than that, there’s NOTHING LEFT to say. Don’t put other people THROUGH STRUGGLE in re-racking your weights.

The song is a brutal crusher. But the band also approaches it with a ton of humor. In any case, I had a great time and not just once. This video is just awesome! For example this idea with these mini microphones is world class!

MEGATON SWORD

come from Switzerland.MEGATON SWORD (Facebook) rock strong heavy metal. The new album „Might & Power“ was already released this year and could be yours on Bandcamp. Now there is a live video of the opener „The Ravin Light Of Day“.

And I have to say that I actually like this version a little better than the studio version. What a great performance! Uzzy Unchained’s voice sounds awesome on this powerful song. If the band ever play live near me, I’ll definitely be there. I won’t miss it, because the band also plays great instrumentally.

AORTHA

Predrag Glogovac’s project AORTHA (Facebook) has a very special background and has produced one of the best albums of 2023. If you want to know more about it, you should read the review and interview here at ‚metal-heads.de‘. There is also a new video for the song „Forging The Locus“.

This single also shows more than impressively what gripping, sophisticated Heavy Metal should sound like. Mighty riffs, a fantastic singer, lively drums and a tight bass make up the songs of AORTHA alongside the excellent songwriting. This massive opening alone is a very strong attack, until this banger goes into full speed and shows its thrashy side. Clever tempo changes and epic vocal lines complete this awesome song.

The message is more than clear: it’s important to stand up as a human being, and especially in this crazy world we all live in. It’s more important than ever to stay positive and strong, for yourself and for the people around you!

Unsere Serie HÖRET & SEHET dreht sich vorrangig um folgendes:

Support the underground!

Nachdem ich nun einige Erfahrungen als Redakteur und leidenschaftlicher Rock- und Metalfan sammeln konnte, muss ich feststellen, dass der Underground lebt! Und zwar lebendiger und heißer als man vielleicht meinen könnte. Und lasst Euch eines gesagt sein: Der Rock- und Metalunderground ist herausragend und braucht sich vor den bekannten Bands überhaupt nicht verstecken. Ganz im Gegenteil! Die Qualität und die Kreativität der Bands sind bemerkenswert. Also beschäftigt Euch bitte auch mit Bands, über die man nicht in jeder bekannten Zeitschrift stolpert. Denn dort kann man wahre Schätze entdecken!

AGES OF MAN

ist ein Projekt des französischen Musikers Fab Tedaldi (Facebook). Bisher war er sehr zufrieden mit seiner Rolle als Gitarrist in den Bands RAPTOR KING (Facebook) und ELVENLINE (Facebook). Doch nun hat der Musiker ein eigenes Projekt gegründet, um sich mit diesem selbst zu verwirklichen. AGES OF MAN (Facebook) würde ich in den modernen Metal einordnen. Es wird zum einen verdammt hart geprügelt und zum anderen mit richtig viel Gefühl imponiert. So ist „Into The Fear“ ein herausragender Track, bei dem ich nicht wüsste, was man noch besser machen soll. Alles passt perfekt zusammen und technisch hochwertig dargeboten. Der Chorus ist darüber hinaus absolut hammermäßig. Mir geht dieser Song gar nicht mehr aus dem Kopf.

Die Texte sind von all diesen Themen inspiriert: Umwelt, kognitive Dissonanz; alles gemischt mit den Geschichten der verschiedenen Epochen. Und es ist bereits eine zweite Single veröffentlicht worden.

„Denial“ geht agressiver und härter zu Werke und wirkt dabei insgesamt um einiges düsterer als die erste Single. Ein sehr eindringlicher Song, der aufzeigt, wo es zur Zeit mit der Menschheit hingeht, nämlich steil bergab in den dunklen Abgrund. Auch wenn AGES OF MAN ein neues Projekt sind, so muss man die handwerklich hochwertige Kunst anerkennen, mit der diese Songs in Szene gesetzt werden. Das sind zwei fabelhafte Songs, die super funktionieren. Ich verspreche mir viel von diesem Projekt und hoffe, dass es eine Zukunft hat.

DAMMIET GOLDIE

sind eine kanadische Band und das blöde daran ist, dass ihr Heimatland weit weg ist und wir so schnell wohl kaum in den Genuß eines Konzerts kommen dürften. Dabei wäre das für mich ein Pflichttermin, denn die Single „Bad Human“ macht voll Bock. Diese Mischung aus hartem Metal und modernem handfesten Rock von DAMMIET GOLDIE gehen richtig ab und vereinen gekonnt verschiedene Genres. Das ist eine verfickt geile Mischung, die mich voll mitreißt. Bitte mehr davon! Hat die noch keiner unter Vertrag? Na dann mal zackig was klar machen!

Rascal

kommen aus Polen. Sie zünden ein musikalisches Feuerwerk in einem Metal-Genre, was so ein wenig in Vergessenheit geraten ist. Der Song „Trapped Within The Lightning“ ist ein verdammt geiles Speed Metal Feuerwerk! Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr einen so geilen Song in diesem Genre gehört. Es ist der pure Wahnsinn! Vollgas von Anfang an. Da sprühen sofort die Funken. Aber es kommt noch mehr… RASCAL fackeln ein heißes Feuer ab. Die Gitarren sind ein wahres Highlight. Die treibenden Riffs sind eine Sache, aber die fucking awesome Leads und die geilen Solos sind noch mal eine andere Sache. Denn diese sind grandios eingebunden und fantastisch gespielt. „Trapped Within The Lightning“ ist ein perfekter Song, der euch einfach total umhauen wird. Versprochen!

Now that I could gain some experience as an editor and passionate rock and metal fan, I have to state that the underground is alive! And more alive and hot than you might think. And let me tell you one thing: The underground metal scene is outstanding and doesn’t need to hide from the well-known bands at all. Quite the opposite! The quality and creativity of the bands is more than remarkable. So please also deal with bands that you don’t stumble across in every known magazine. Because there you can discover real gems!

AGES OF MAN

is a project of the French musician Fab Tedaldi (Facebook). Until now he was very satisfied with his role as a guitarist in the bands RAPTOR KING (Facebook) and ELVENLINE (Facebook). But now the musician has founded his own project to realize his visions in another way.

AGES OF MAN (Facebook) I would classify in the modern metal. The single „Into The Fear“ on the one hand beats damn hard and on the other hand impresses with really much emotions. So „Into The Fear“ is an outstanding track, where I wouldn’t know what could have done better. Everything fits together perfectly and technically presented in high quality. The chorus is absolutely awesome on top of that. I can’t get this song out of my head.

The lyrics are inspired by all these themes: Environment, cognitive dissonance; all mixed with the stories of different eras. And a second single has already been released.

„Denial“ is more aggressive and harder and seems altogether a lot darker than the first single. A very haunting song that shows where it goes at the moment with humanity, namely steeply downhill into the dark abyss. Even though AGES OF MAN are a new project, one has to acknowledge the high quality craftsmanship with which these songs are staged. These are two fabulous songs that work great. I expect a lot from this project and hope it has more songs to come.

DAMMIET GOLDIE

are a Canadian band and the worst thing about it is that their home country is far away and we probably won’t be able to enjoy a concert so soon. But this would be a must-see for me, because the single „Bad Human“ is really awesome. This mixture of hard metal and modern rousing rock by DAMMIET GOLDIE really shake my balls and skillfully combines different genres. This is a fucking awesome mixture that pumps me up. Please more of it! Has no label signed them yet? Well, be quick!

Rascal

come from Poland. They ignite a musical firework in a metal genre, which has fallen into oblivion a bit. The song „Trapped Within The Lightning“ is a damn awesome speed metal firework! I haven’t heard such an awesome song in this genre in a long time. It is pure madness! Full throttle from the beginning. Sparks are flying right away. But there is more to come… RASCAL light a hot fire. The guitars are a real highlight. The driving riffs are one thing, but the fucking awesome leads and the awesome solos are yet another outstanding thing. Because these are terrifically integrated and fantastically played. „Trapped Within The Lightning“ is a perfect song that will just totally blow you away. Promised!

VEILE + MEPHORASH

HÖRET & SEHET befasst sich heute mit ganz finsterer Kost und wir tauchen ab in die Horror (Black) Metal Welt. Wir präsentieren Euch zwei Bands und Songs, die sehr gut zusammenpassen. Die Videos sind nichts für zarte Gemüter und ziemlich blutig. Nur so als kleine Vorwarnung

VEILE

ist das kreative Ventil von Komponist/Gitarrist Charles Edward Alexander Hedger [u.a. MAYHEM, R-COMPLEX], Schlagzeuger Frank Skillpero [u.a. GOD DETHRONED, THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT] und Sängerin/Multiinstrumentalistin/Komponistin Anabelle. VEILE (Facebook) sind mit Sicherheit speziell und keine leichte Kost. Ist mal nichts für nebenbei. Dieser Musik muss man sich hingeben und sie bewusst hören. Wenn man dies tut, taucht man wirklich in eine dunkle Horrorwelt ein. Der Sound ist cineastisch aufgebaut und der Song wirkt in der Tat wie ein harter Horrorstreifen. Viele Musikstile finden sich hier wieder, die sich zu einem verstörenden finsteren Monster vereinen. Also traut Euch und taucht ein in die Welt von VEILE.

MEPHORASH

aus Schweden setzen die Geschichte zumindest musikalisch weiter fort, auch wenn es sich hier um einen reinen BLACK METAL Act handelt. Aber die Grenzen sind ja oft fließend. MEPHORASH (Facebook) zelebrieren ihren Sound ebenso cineastisch opulent und bedient sich dabei sakraler Symbolik. Es entsteht eine mystische Aura, die einen in den Bann zieht und sogar eine hypnotische Wirkung entfaltet. So empfinde ich es zumindest bei der aktuellen Single „I AM“.

Die Kirchenorgel zu Beginn lässt den Song schon monumental beginnen. Das Grauen lässt nicht lange auf sich warten. Es folgt ein musikalisch und optisch blutiger Regen, der über den Hörer einbricht. Das blutige Unwetter wird sodann von einer sehr ruhigen, aber nicht minder unheimlichen, Passage unterbrochen. Flüsternde Stimmen sprechen scheinbar rituelle Phrasen. Nach Beendigung der ritualen Gebete und Gesänge wird ein Feuer im prasselnden blutigen Regen entfacht und der Song steigert sich in ein brennendes Finale.

is the creative outlet of composer/guitarist Charles Edward Alexander Hedger [a.o. MAYHEM, R-COMPLEX], drummer Frank Skillpero [a.o. GOD DETHRONED, THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT] and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/composer Anabelle. VEILE (Facebook) are certainly special and not light fare. It’s not something to take on the side. You have to give this music time and listen to it consciously. If you do this, you really dive into a dark horror world. The sound is built cinematically and the song indeed seems like a hard horror movie. Many musical styles can be found here, which unite to form a disturbing sinister monster. So dare and dive into the world of VEILE.

MEPHORASH

from Sweden continue the story, at least musically, even though this is a pure BLACK METAL act. But the boundaries are often fluid. MEPHORASH (Facebook) celebrate their sound just as cinematic opulent and uses sacred symbolism. A mystical aura is created that casts a spell over you and even has a hypnotic effect. At least that’s how I feel about the current single „I AM“.

The church organ at the beginning lets the song start monumentally. The horror is not long in coming. It follows a musically and visually bloody rain, which breaks over the listener. The bloody storm is then interrupted by a very quiet, but no less eerie, passage. Whispering voices speak ritual phrases and chants coming in. After this a fire is lit in the pattering bloody rain and the song climbs into a burning finale.

In der letzten Ausgabe von HÖRET & SEHET ging es um den Extreme Metal mit Schwerpunkt Deathcore. Nun haben wir ganz wieder ganz unterschiedliche Genres parat. Jede der hier heute vorgestellten Bands habe ich schon länger auf dem Schirm. Und die erste Band

KAUNIS KUOLEMATON

hatten es mit „Syttyköön Toinen Aurinko“ im Jahre 2020 geschafft mein persönliches Album des Jahres zu werden. Darauf hatten sie einen einzigartigen Sound erschaffen (Review). Er hatte mich über die gesamte Albumdistanz fasziniert und auch nach drei Jahren hat dieses Album nichts von seiner Faszination verloren. Deswegen freue ich mich wahnsinnig darüber, dass KAUNIS KUOLEMATON (Facebook) endlich das neue Album „Mielenvalta“ am 13. Oktober über das Label Noble Demon veröffentlichen werden.

Mit der ersten Single „Peilikuva“ bleiben sie sprachlich ihrem Stil treu und präsentieren ihre Musik in ihrer finnischen Heimatsprache. Und auch wenn ich davon kein Wort verstehe, hat der Klang dieser Sprache diese geheimnisvolle Aura, die mich einfängt. Die Single überrascht mit einem sehr ruhigen klaren Beginn und mit einem hochemotionalen Gesang. Sänger Mikko Heikkilä bietet eine wundervolle Vorstellung und man kann jedes Wort fühlen und nachempfinden. Der Song steigert sich langsam aber sicher, doch es dauert, bis es zu einer dunklen massiven Explosion kommt, die einen mit ihrer Vehemenz förmlich umhaut. Düster Growls von Olli Suvanto erhalten Einzug und als ob das nicht genug wäre, erklingen im weiteren Verlauf kontrastierend bzw. eskalierend noch fiese hohe Screams. Wahrlich eine Vereinigung von emotionalen Extremen in einem Song. Eine unglaublich intensive Vorstellung.

Kommentar der Band

Peilikuva („Spiegelung“) erzählt von den Herausforderungen, die das Leben mit sich bringt. Man weiß nicht immer, ob die Entscheidungen richtig oder falsch sind, und oft kann das Leben sehr schwer zu bewältigen sein. Doch wie auch immer die Entscheidungen ausfallen, wie auch immer das Leben sich gestaltet, man sieht sich selbst im Spiegel. Genau der, der dein eigenes Leben aufgebaut hat, und das bist DU.

Mit der Ruhe, der Aggressivität, den Melodien und den Tempowechseln des Songs kannst du in deine eigenen Gedankenwelten reisen und sehen, wie dein Leben bis jetzt verlaufen ist. Wenn du merkst, dass es Zeit für eine Veränderung ist, dann lass es geschehen. Du bist für dein eigenes Leben verantwortlich.

Nun, was soll ich sagen. Mit dem Album „Transience“ aus dem Jahre 2018 hat mich diese Band gefangen. Allein der Titelsong ist eine Offenbarung. Keine Ahnung wie oft ich diesen Song alleine in Endlosschleife gehört habe. Man hat mich nun viel zu lange schmoren lassen, doch endlich hat das Warten ein Enden. Multinstrumentalist Nimblkorg steht hinter SHYLMAGOGHNAR (Facebook) und er präsentiert nun die erste Single seines kommenden Albums „Convergence“ (VÖ 10. November). Die neue Single heißt „Follow The River“ und sie setzt die spektakuläre Reise fort.

Liebe Hörer, Freunde, Familie,
endlich kann ich das Schweigen über das kommende 3. Album von Shylmagoghnar, CONVERGENCE, brechen.
Auf einer Reise des Todes erwacht der Protagonist in einer surrealen Welt. Sind die Dinge, die er sieht, real, oder nur die Machenschaften eines sterbenden Gehirns? Das spielt jetzt keine Rolle mehr. Alles, was er weiß, ist, dass er dem Fluss folgen muss.

„Follow The River“ suggeriert unverkennbar die typischen Merkmale von SHYLMAGOGHNAR. Es ist hart, aber unendlich melodisch und episch zugleich. Man kann es kaum beschreiben, sondern man muss es hören. Man spürt und hört den Hang zur Perfektion. Der Song ist super ausgearbeitet und es eröffnen sich bezaubernde und komplexe Klangwelten. Also was sind schon fast neuen Minuten Spielzeit, wenn sie so überwältigend dargeboten werden?! Einfach ein episches Abenteuer!

DUST BOLT

DUST BOLT (Facebook) sind eine Institution im deutschen Metal. Seit 2007 beehren sie uns mit ihren musikalischen Ergüssen. Jüngst haben sie einen Deal beim bekannten großen Label AFM Records klar gemacht. Auf das neue Album „Sound & Fury“ werden wir allerdings noch ein wenig warten müssen, denn dies ist erst für den 23. Februar 2024 geplant.

Überraschend, aber konsequent

„Sound and Fury“ ist modern ausgefallen und kommt relativ ruhig, melancholisch und gefühlvoll daher, wartet dafür mit tollen Melodien auf. Im weiteren Verlauf drehen DUST BOLT aber kurz ordentlich am Härtegrad. So ist ein echt cooler Song entstanden. Mir gefällt der Song mit seiner Ausstrahlung. Hätte ich aber so in der Form nicht von der Band erwartet. Die Band selber scheinbar auch nicht, wie ich später in einem Kommentar lesen konnte.

„Sound and Fury“ entstand während der wohl dunkelsten und schwierigsten Zeit für die Band. Das erste Mal in unserem Leben, seit wir Kinder waren, waren wir irgendwie voneinander getrennt und der Traum, den wir zusammen gelebt haben, schien aufzuhören. Es war während der Pandemie-Tage, als die Band sogar beschloss, eine Pause voneinander zu nehmen, als Flo mit diesem wunderschönen Stück Musik aufkam – nicht wissend, wie er unsere Gefühle kanalisieren und ausdrücken würde, was dazu führte, dass LB einige ungewöhnliche, aber herzliche Vocals von DUST BOLT darauf legte und Nico am Ende einen Disco-Beat in einen Metal-Song einbrachte.

Wir wussten nicht, was passieren würde – wir haben es einfach gemacht. Wir wussten, dass es eine Million Stimmen geben würde, die sagen, dass wir das nicht auf eine DUST BOLT-Platte packen können. Aber mehr als das wussten wir: „Solange wir zusammenhalten, können wir alles machen, was wir wollen.“ Sound and Fury ist eine Geschichte über Freundschaft, Kampf und innere Zerrissenheit. SuF ist eine Geschichte über uns. SuF ist ein anderer, offener und ehrlicher DUST BOLT, der seine Gefühle mit dir und deinen Freunden teilt.““

Das obige Statement kann ich nur unterschreiben. Musik ist auch Ausdruck persönlicher Situationen und Erlebnisse. Warum also nicht mal etwas unerwartetes anderes machen, wenn man sich gerade so fühlt? Für mich ist das immer ein Qualitätsmerkmal in Sachen Kreativität und Persönlichkeit, was ich in der Musik sehr schätze.

Die erste Single „I Wittness“ bietet dagegen wieder die klassisch harte Kost und es gibt straight und hart vor den Latz. Da kann man sich wieder genüßlich den Nacken trainieren. Haut rein!

The last issue of HEAR & SEE was about Extreme Metal with a focus on Deathcore. Now we have quite different genres ready again. Each of the bands presented here today has been on my radar for a while. And the first band

KAUNIS KUOLEMATON

had even managed to create my personal album of the year with „Syttyköön Toinen Aurinko“ in 2020. On it they had created a unique sound (review). It had fascinated me over the entire album distance and even after three years this album has lost nothing of its fascination. That’s why I’m so happy that KAUNIS KUOLEMATON (Facebook) will finally release the new album „Mielenvalta“ on October 13 via the label Noble Demon.

With the first single „Peilikuva“ they stay linguistically true to their style and present their music in their native Finnish language. And even if I don’t understand a word of it, the sound of this language has this mysterious aura that catches me. The single surprises with a very calm clear beginning and with highly emotional vocals by singer Mikko Heikkilä. He gives a wonderful performance and you can feel and relate to every word. The song slowly but surely builds up, but it takes time for a dark massive explosion that literally blows you away with its vehemence. Gloomy growls of Olli Suvanto get in and as if that were not enough, in the further course contrasting or escalating still nasty high screams sound. Truly a union of emotional extremes in one song. An incredibly intense performance.

DUST BOLT

DUST BOLT (Facebook) are an institution in German metal. Since 2007 they honor us with their musical effusions. Recently they made a deal with the well-known big label AFM Records. However, we will have to wait a little longer for the new album „Sound & Fury“, which is scheduled for February 23, 2024.

Surprising, but resolute

„Sound and Fury“ is modern and comes along relatively quiet, melancholic and soulful, but offers great melodies. In the further course DUST BOLT but briefly turn neatly on the degree of hardness. Sound and Fury was created during the probably darkest and most difficult time for the band. First time in our lives, since we were kids, we were somehow separated from another and the dream we lived together seemed to stopped. It was during the pandemic days, when the band even decided to take a break from one another, when Flo came up with this beautiful piece of music – not knowing how he would channel and express our feelings, leading to LB putting some Dust Bolt unusual, but heartfelt vocals on it and having Nico introducing a disco beat to a metal song in the end.  

We didn’t know what was happening – we just did it.  We did know, there’d be a million voices saying we can’t put this up on a Dust Bolt record. But more than that we knew „as long as we stick together, we can do anything the *** we want“ . Sound and Fury is a story about friendship, struggle & inner turmoil. SuF is a story about us. SuF is a different, open and honest Dust Bolt, sharing their emotion with you and your friends.

I can only subscribe to the above statement. Music is also an expression of personal situations and experiences. So why not do something unexpectedly different when you just feel that way? For me, this is always a quality feature in terms of creativity and personality, which I appreciate very much in music.

The first single „I Wittness“, on the other hand, offers the classic hard fare again and it blows straight in your face. A real banger!

GENUS ORDINIS DEI

kommen aus Milan in Spanien und existieren bereits seit 2009. Sie spielen eine Mischung aus Heavy Metal und Death Metal. „The Beginning“ wird das vierte Album heißen, dass am 08. Dezember über Eclipse Records veröffentlicht wird. Aktuell gibt es dier erste Single „Changing Star“, die mit einem krassen Video visuell umgesetzt wurde. Dabei geht es zwischendurch echt hart zu und ist nix für zarte Gemüter. Dasselbe trifft auch auf den Song zu, der zwischen melodisch Passagen mit cleanem Gesang und harten Ausbrüchen alterniert. Klingt jetzt erst einmal nicht neu, aber die Art und Weise der Darbietung ist dann doch wirklich extravagant und geht sogar leicht ins progressive. Ein Song der besonderen Art! Die Band zeigt auf jeden Fall neue Facetten, denn bisher war man deutlich härter unterwegs.

ANGELUS APATRIDA

kommen ebenfalls aus Spanien. Die Band spielt nichts extravagantes, sondern klassischen Thrash Metal. Aber dies machen ANGELUS APATRIDA (Facebook) so hervorragend, dass sie sich eine große Anhängerschar erspielt haben. Man sehr gespannt sein darf, was auf dem kommenden Album „Aftermath“ so alles zu hören sein wird. Es wird am 20. Oktober über Century Media erscheinen.

Die erste Single „Cold“ hat es jedenfalls in sich und begeistert sowohl mit nach vorne preschender Power als auch einem melodischen Chorus zum niederknien. Das macht richtig was her. Dies ist ein Song, den man sich oft hintereinander anhören kann ohne dessen überdrüssig zu werden. Ein echter Knaller! Der sechsminütige Song hat so viele geile Vibes, die süchtig machen. Superstarke Riffs, furioses Drumming, genialer Gesang und ein abwechslungsreicher Verlauf führen diesen Song zu einem perfekten Auftritt.

SACRIFIRE

haben ihre Heimat in Deutschland und sind kaum in ein bestimmtes Genre zu stecken. Hier gibt es eine außergewöhnliche Mischung aus Doom, Death und Gothik. Die höchst dunkle Erscheinung SACRIFIRE (Facebook) überzeugt mit der Single „Juggernaut“ auf ganzer Linie. So eine Mischung habe ich noch nie gehört und ich muss zugeben, dass ich sehr fasziniert und gefesselt davon bin. Es zeigt mir, dass es Bands immer noch schaffen interessante Sounds zu generieren. „Juggernaut“ hat ganz viele klassische Gothik Vibes. Vor allem dann, wenn Sänger Dirk Weiss seine warme dunkle Stimme hervorholt. Atmossphäre ohne Ende! Aber auch in seiner extremeren Sangeskunst kann Dirk völlig überzeugen. Instrumental agiert man von dunkelzart bis wuchtig schwarz und bietet die perfekte Bühne für den variablen Sänger Dirk.

GENUS ORDINIS DEI

come from Milan in Spain and exist already since 2009. They play a mixture of Heavy Metal and Death Metal. „The Beginning“ will be the name of the fourth album that will be released on December 08 via Eclipse Records. Currently there is the first single „Changing Star“, which was visually implemented with a really cool video. In between it is damn hard and is not for the faint-hearted. The same applies to the song, which alternates between melodic passages with clean vocals and hard outbreaks. Sounds not new, but the way of performance is really extravagant and even goes slightly into the progressive direction. A song of a special kind!

GENUS ORDINIS DEI (Facebook) show new facets in any case, because in the past they were much harder. Anyway, „Changing Star“ is a very interesting performance you should not miss.

ANGELUS APATRIDA

also come from Spain. The band doesn’t play anything extravagant, but classic Thrash Metal. But they do this so excellently that they have earned themselves a large following. You can be very curious what will be on the upcoming album „Aftermath“. It will be released on October 20th via Century Media.

The first single „Cold“ is a killer and inspires both with forward-blasting power and a melodic chorus to kneel down. This is a song that you can listen to many times in a row without getting tired of it. A real banger from ANGELUS APATRIDA (Facebook)! The six minute song has so many awesome vibes that are addictive. Super strong riffs, furious drumming, brilliant vocals and a varied progression lead this song to a perfect performance.

SACRIFIRE

have their home in Germany and can hardly be put into a certain genre. Here is an extraordinary mixture of Doom, Death and Gothic. The highly dark appearance SACRIFIRE (Facebook) convinces with the single „Juggernaut“ all along the line. I have never heard such a mixture and I must admit that I am very fascinated and captivated by it. It shows me that bands still manage to generate interesting sounds. „Juggernaut“ has quite a lot of classic gothic vibes. Especially when singer Dirk Weiss brings out his warm dark voice. Deep atmosphere! But also in his more extreme vocal art Dirk can completely convince. Instrumentally they act from dark delicate to massive black and offer the perfect stage for the variable singer Dirk.

Beim Stöbern für meine Playlist „METALHEADs new stuff“ (YouTube / Spotify) hier auf ‚metal-heads.de‘ sind mir wieder einige Bands besonders aufgefallen, über die ich gerne bei HÖRET & SEHET berichten möchte. Daher freue ich mich Euch heute die female-fronted Bands THE TEX AVERY SYNDROME und FUSED BY DEFIANCE vorzustellen.

Die Band um Power-Frontfrau Laura Gierl hat sich ihren Namen von dem legendären Cartoonisten Tex Avery geliehen und genau wie die verrückten Comics verbindet die Band The Tex Avery Syndrome (Facebook) verschiedene Stile des Wahnsinns durch zahlreiche Genres im Metal.

Der Sound bewegt sich im Bereich des extremeren Metal. Und diese Band hat alles, um groß rauszukommen. Dabei sind die neuen Songs, die bisher veröffentlicht wurden, sind allesamt absolute Burner. Damit sollte sich die Fanschar sehr rasch vergrößern.

„Voices“ zum Beispiel ist ein irrer Abriss. Dieser Song prescht mit unbändiger Power kompromisslos voran. Ein wahre Energiebombe!

Aber THE TEX AVERY SYNDROM können mehr als alles gnadenlos wegprügeln. Denn mit den anderen beiden Singles zeigt die Band deutlich, dass sie ihrem Sound noch ganz andere Facetten entlocken können. Neben der krassen Power erschaffen sie eine dichte Atmosphäre in ihren Songs, welche eine fesselnde Wirkung entfaltet. Und gerade in dieser Hinsicht haben sie einen Riesenschritt nach vorne gemacht. Das Debüt „Origin“ war schon echt cool mit brettharten Bangern, aber die neuen Songs sind noch ein ganz anderes Kaliber. Sie wirken ausgereifter, aufwendiger und besser produziert. Das ist mächtig Wumms hinter.

Erstklassig

Mit diesen Songs kann THE TEX AVERY SYNDROME locker in der Topliga mitmischen. Schließlich ist auch die neuste Single „Clairvoyance“ ist ebenfalls ein Monstersong! Gewaltige Power gepaart mit beschwörenden sphärischen Parts sorgen für eine herausragende Erfahrung! Eine echte Offenbarung!

Nicht alle Ratschläge im Leben sind wohlwollend gemeint, helfende Hände können zwielichtige Hintergedanken haben. Persönliche Krisen gehen oft mit der Suche nach höheren Autoritäten und Mächten einher, die einem den richtigen Weg weisen oder sogar heilbringend in das erschütterte Leben eingreifen könnten. sind eine fünfköpfige Band aus Los Angeles, CA, die 2012 gegründet wurde. Sie verbinden Klänge aus Rock, Metal und Hip-Hop mit sozial bewussten Texten, um Songs zu kreieren, die sowohl deinen Körper als auch deinen Geist bewegen. Leider ging die Band 2016 auseinander, doch 2019 erweckte man FUSED BY DEFIANCE (Facebook) wieder zum Leben, inklusive der neuen Sängerin Taj. Die erste Single nach der Wiedergeburt war die Single „Cancel Culture“, die sich lange sehr erfolgreich in den amerikansichen Charts halten konnte.

Modern vielseitig

Dieser Song ist eine Adrenalinspritze und zeigt sehr mitreißend, dass sich FUSED BY DEFIANCE nicht um Grenzen scheren. In dem modernen Song lässt man viele unterschiedliche Dinge einfließen und verwebt sie zu einem homogenen Ganzen. Gesanglich bekommt man alles um die Ohre gehauen. Hip Hop, cleaner melodischer Gesang bis hin zu den extremen Vocals gehen hier Hand in Hand. Dazu gesellen sich energische Drums, geile Gitarren und ein fett schwingender Bass. Eine höchst unterhaltsame Mischung mit einem megamäßigen Groove, der es krachen lässt und jeden mitreißt.

Kommen wir zu der neuen Single „Will Of A Warrior“

Der Song hat eine andere Ausrichtung, was die Vielseitigkeit der Band nur noch mehr unterstreicht. „Will Of A Warrior“ ist mit großartigen Melodien ausgestattet. Zunächst etwas ruhiger und rockiger präsentiert sich diese tolle Single. Aber die Härte des Metal bekommt man hier nach einiger Zeit auch zu spüren. Ein großartiger Song, der zudem mit einem aufwendig gestalteten Video gebührend visuell umgesetzt wurde. Deshalb freue ich mich sehr darüber, dass ich diees Band beim Stöbern für meine Playlist „METALHEADs new stuff“ entdeckt habe. Diese Band werde ich auf jeden Fall weiter im Auge und im Ohr behalten.

While browsing for my playlist „METALHEADs new stuff“ (YouTube / Spotify) here on ‚metal-heads.de‘ I noticed again some bands that I would like to report about at HEAR & SEE. So today I’m happy to present you the two female-fronted bands THE TEX AVERY SYNDROME and FUSED BY DEFIANCE.

The band around power frontwoman Laura Gierl borrowed its name from legendary cartoonist Tex Avery and just like the crazy comics, the band THE TEX AVERY SYNDROME (Facebook) combines various styles of madness through numerous genres in metal.

The sound is in the realm of extreme metal. And this band has everything to become huge. The new songs that have been released so far are all absolute burners. This should increase the fan base very quickly.

„Voices“, for example, is an insane banger. This song pushes forward uncompromisingly with unbridled power. A true energy bomb!

But THE TEX AVERY SYNDROM can do more than beat everything away mercilessly. Because with the other two singles, the band clearly shows that they can elicit quite other facets from their sound. In addition to the blatant power, they create a dense atmosphere in their songs, which unfolds a captivating effect. And especially in this respect they have made a giant step forward. The debut „Origin“ was already really cool with hard bangers, but the new songs are of a completely different kind. They seem more mature, more elaborate and better produced. There is a lot of power behind it.

First class

With these songs THE TEX AVERY SYNDROME can easily be in the top league of Metal. Finally, the latest single „Clairvoyance“ is also a monster song! Huge power paired with evocative spherical parts make for an outstanding experience! A real revelation!

Not all advice in life is well-intentioned; helping hands can have shady ulterior motives. Personal crises are often accompanied by a search for higher authorities and powers that could point one in the right direction or even intervene in a healing way in one’s shaken life. Sometimes the answer we receive does not turn out as we had hoped, and it is not always easy to trust our inner intuition. ‚Clairvoyance‘ tells of a protagonist who sets out to find redemption for her pain from a psychic.

THE TEX AVERY SYNDROM in presstext (FOCUSION Pr.)

are a five-piece band from Los Angeles, CA, formed in 2012. They combine sounds of rock, metal, and hip-hop with socially conscious lyrics to create songs that move both your body and your mind. Unfortunately, the band broke up in 2016, but in 2019 they brought FUSED BY DEFIANCE back to life, including new vocalist Taj. The first single after the new start was the single „Cancel Culture“, which was very successful in the American charts for a long time.

Modern versatile

This song is an adrenaline injection and shows very rousing that FUSED BY DEFIANCE do not care about borders. In the modern song they let many different things flow in and weave them into a homogeneous whole. Vocally you get everything around the ears. Hip hop, clean melodic vocals to the extreme vocals go hand in hand here. In addition, energetic drums, horny guitars and fat swinging bass. A highly entertaining mixture with a fat crashing groove that sweeps everyone along.

Let’s move on to the new single „Will Of A Warrior“.

The song has a slightly different direction, which only emphasizes the versatility of the band. „Will Of A Warrior“ is equipped with great melodies. At first this song sounds more calm and rockier. But the hardness of the metal you get here a little later. A great song, which was also duly visualized with an elaborately designed video. Therefore I am very happy that I discovered this band while browsing for my playlist „METALHEADs new stuff“. I will definitely keep an eye and ear on this band.

Willkommen zu einer neuen Ausgabe von HÖRET & SEHET! Ich möchte Euch heute wieder einmal gesondert einzelne Bands und Singles vorstellen, die in meiner Playlist ‚METALHEADs new stuff‘ (YouTube/Spotify) vertreten sind. Heute habe ich ganz verschiedene Stilrichtungen im Angebot. Viel Spaß damit!

NEVER OBEY AGAIN

hatte ich hier bei ‚metal-heads.de‘ schon mal vorgestellt. Nachdem ich die ersten Singles gehört hatte, habe ich prophezeit, dass diese Band ein echter Hit wird. NEVER OBEY AGAIN (Facebook) zelebrieren modernen Metal, der mit Power und Groove agiert, aber auch mit viel Gefühl und eingängigen Melodien in Richtung Pop ausschlägt. Jedenfalls ensteht eine mitreißende unterhaltsame Mischung.

Sie sind sich auch nicht zu schade für tolle Ideen, um ihre Musik unters Volk zu bringen. Als Straßenmusiker waren sie unterwegs und haben ihre Songs unplugged den Menschen vorgespielt. Und dabei konnte man sich auch davon überzeugen, dass es wirklich tolle Musiker sind und Carolina auch ganz ohne Technik eine verdammt gute Sängerin ist. Sie ist eine charismatische Bombe und begeistert mit ihrer Darbietung. Sie besitzt eine starke Präsenz und hat in den Videos schon viele Seiten von sich gezeigt und lebt die Songs mit jeder Faser.

In dem neuen Video „Toxic Feelings“ zeigt sie eine ganz verrückte Seite von sich. Man kann ihr tatsächlich ein gutes schauspielerisches Talent zugestehen, denn in diesem Video erinnert sie stark an die verrückte Figur Harley Quinn aus den DC-Kinofilmen. Der Song fügt sich nahtlos in dem bisherigen Soundkonzept ein. Viel groovige Power paart sich mit viel eingängiger Melodie und geboren wird ein starker Song, der Euch mir nicht dir nichts mitreißt. Wieder einmal ein echt starker Auftritt! Freut Euch also auf das neue Album „The End Of An Era“ am 22. September, welches über Scarlet Records veröffentlicht wird.

FIERCE DEITY

als Solokünstler aus Australien hat mich mit seiner Musik ebenfalls vollkommen begeistert und war daher schon einige Male bei ‚metal-heads.de‘ zu Gast. Nun bewegen wir uns in einer ganz anderen Musikrichtung. Er selber bezeichnet seine Musik als Stoner-Power-Metal. Und diese Bezeichnung ist gar nicht so unpassend. Das letzte Album von FIERCE DEITY (Facebook/Bandcamp) hieß „Power!Wisdom!Courage“ (Review). Die Songs hatten für mich eine ganz eigene Handschrift und waren von vorne bis hinten höchstspannende Kompositionen.

Nun gibt es ein neues Lebenszeichen! Die neue Single „LEViARACH“ ist seit kurzem auf den Streaming Plattformen erschienen. Unter anderem auch auf BANDCAMP, die ich als Plattform sehr schätze. Denn dort hat man die Möglichkeit seine Bands direkt zu unterstützen! Nun aber zurück zur Single „LEViARACH“, die als erstes Lebenszeichen für das kommende Album „Power!Wisdom!Courage! Part 2: A Terrible Fate“ in Erscheinung tritt.

Der Song ist wieder typisch FIERCE DEITY. Der Song eröffnet wie ein Kinoblockbuster und dann hauen ein diese geilen Riffs einfach um. Ich bin schon wieder direkt im FIERCE DEITY-Fieber. Jonathon versteht es einfach Songs ansprechendzu arrangieren. Es wird nie langweilig, wenn diese überlangen Songs ihren Weg gehen. Hier werden auch wieder einmal so einige Queen-Feelings produziert. Und den Songs wohnt zu jeder Zeit immer eine epische Komponente inne.

TWISTED ROSE

sind eine Rock ’n‘ Roll Band aus Deutschland. An vorderster Front von TWISTED ROSE (Facebook) steht und bezaubert die charmante, stimmgewaltige Sängerin Caro, neben Chris Bones an der Gitarre, Bassist Tino und Schlagzeuger Luggy. Sie haben sich dem klassischen Rock Sound (á la AC/DC und Guns N‘ Roses) verschrieben und sind nun bereit die Rockwelt mit ihren eigenen Kompositionen zu erobern.

Ich kannte sie bisher noch nicht, was echt schade ist. Denn die neue Single „Greed For Speed“ ist ein echter Burner! Schnörkelloser nach vorne treibender Rock ’n‘ Roll, wie man sich ihn wünscht. Das Rock ’n‘ Roll Feuer brennt und breitet sich aus. Ich steh in Flammen und brauch erst mal nen Bier zum löschen, nur um dann wieder Feuer zu fangen. Ein Teufelskreis, aus dem man gar nicht mehr ausbrechen möchte! Long live Rock ’n‘ Roll!

Und im September kommt das Album „Cherry Tales“ raus! Da bin ich mal richtig heiß drauf!

BLESSED HELLRIDE

sind ebenfalls aus Deutschland und spielen eine Mischung aus Southern Rock und Heavy Metal. Und das rockt! Ein Höhepunkt in der Geschichte von BLESSED HELLRIDE (Facebook) war ihre Show auf dem renommierten Wacken Open Air im Jahr 2018. Blessed Hellride begeisterte das Publikum mit ihrer energiegeladenen Live-Performance und bewies, dass sie auch auf großen Bühnen zu Hause sind.

Nach der obigen Singlevorstellung von Twisted Rose sind BLESSED HELLRIDE die richtige Fortsetzung, um gar nicht erst müde zu werden. Der Härtegrad bei der Single „Barfight Rodeo“ schlägt weiter nach oben aus und ab geht die Show. Ebenfalls ein Song, der einem klaren Weg folgt. Nämlich stur nach vorne und das auf hartem Terrain. Sehr geil finde ich die auch das Solo in dem Song.

VICIOUS RAIN

sind in der Schweiz beheimatet und haben sich ganz frisch Ende 2022 gegründet. Mit ihrem Metalcore springen wir auf die nächste Härtestufe. VICIOUS RAIN (Facebook) lassen es mit ihrer Single „Blackout“ heftig krachen. Ein brachialer Song, der für mächtig Nackentraining sorgt. Mir gefallen die verschiedenen Stimmungen im Song. Zum einen haben wir im grundsätzlich brutalen stampfenden Sound geile Tempobeschleunigungen, aber auch tolle Melodien im Chorus. Jeder Metalcore-Fan sollte mit dieser Single glücklich sein.

„Blackout“ kanalisiert die rohe Frustration, wenn man mit ansehen muss, wie jemand, den man liebt, stagniert und sich nicht zum Besseren verändern kann. Es ist eine ergreifende Reflexion über die verletzende Realität des Festhaltens an Erinnerungen daran, wie die Dinge einmal waren, während man erkennt, dass toxische Muster den eigenen Geist vergiften können. Dieser Song ist ein emotionaler Aufschrei, der den Hörer dazu auffordert, die Kraft zu finden, loszulassen und sein eigenes Wohlbefinden in den Vordergrund zu stellen“.

Welcome to a new edition of HEAR & SEE! I would like to present you today once again separately individual bands and singles that are represented in my playlist ‚METALHEADs new stuff‘. Today I have quite different styles on offer. Have fun with it!

NEVER OBEY AGAIN

I had already introduced here at ‚metal-heads.de‘. After listening to the first singles, I predicted that this band will be a real hit. NEVER OBEY AGAIN (Facebook) celebrate modern metal, which acts with power and groove, but also with a lot of feeling and catchy melodies in the direction of pop. In any case, a rousing entertaining mixture is created.

They are also not too shy for great ideas to bring their music among the people. As street musicians they were on the road and played their songs unplugged to the people. And in doing so, you could also convince yourself that they are really great musicians and that Carolina is a damn good singer even without any technology. She is a charismatic bomb and inspires with her performance. She has a strong presence and has already shown many sides of herself in the videos and lives the songs with every fiber.

In the new video „Toxic Feelings“ she shows a very crazy side of herself. You can actually give her a good acting talent, because it in this video Carolina strongly reminds of the crazy character Harley Quinn from the DC movies. The song fits seamlessly into the previous sound concept. A lot of groovy power is paired with a lot of catchy melody and born is a strong song that will sweep you away. Once again a really strong performance! So look forward to the new album „The End Of An Era“ on September 22, which will be released via Scarlet Records.

FIERCE DEITY

as a solo artist from Australia has also completely inspired me with his music and has therefore already been a guest at ‚metal-heads.de‘ a few times. He himself calls his music Stoner-Power-Metal. And this designation is not so inappropriate. The last album from FIERCE DEITY (Facebook/Bandcamp) was called „Power!Wisdom!Courage“ (Review). The songs had for me a very own signature and were from front to back highly exciting compositions.

Now there is a new sign of life! The new single „LEViARACH“ has recently been released on the streaming platforms. Among other things, also on BANDCAMP, which I appreciate very much as a platform. Because there you have the possibility to support your bands directly! But now back to the single „LEViARACH“, which is the first sign of life for the upcoming album „Power!Wisdom!Courage! Part 2: A Terrible Fate“.

The song is again typical FIERCE DEITY. The song opens like a movie blockbuster and then these awesome riffs just blow me away. I’m right back in FIERCE DEITY fever. Jonathon just knows how to arrange songs in an exciting way. It never gets boring when these overlong songs go their way. Once again some Queen feelings are produced here. And the songs always have an epic component.

TWISTED ROSE

are a rock ’n‘ roll band from Germany. At the forefront of TWISTED ROSE (Facebook) stands and charms the charming, strong-voiced singer Caro, alongside Chris Bones on guitar, bassist Tino and drummer Luggy. They have dedicated themselves to the classic rock sound (á la AC/DC and Guns N‘ Roses) and are now ready to conquer the rock world with their own compositions.

I didn’t know them until now, which is a real pity. Because the new single „Greed For Speed“ is a real burner! Straightforward forward kick ass driving Rock ’n‘ Roll. The Rock ’n‘ Roll fire burns! I’m on fire and need a beer to extinguish it, only to catch fire again. A vicious circle that you don’t want to break out of! Long live Rock ’n‘ Roll!

And in September the album „Cherry Tales“ will be released! I’m really hot for it!

BLESSED HELLRIDE

are also from Germany and play such a mixture of Southern Rock and Heavy Metal. And that rocks! A highlight in the history of BLESSED HELLRIDE (Facebook) was their show at the renowned Wacken Open Air in 2018. Blessed Hellride thrilled the audience with their energetic live performance and proved that they are also at home on big stages.

After the above single performance BLESSED HELLRIDE are the right continuation to not get tired at all. They released their new single „Barfight Rodeo“. The degree of hardness strikes further upwards and off goes the show. Also a song that follows a clear path, namely stubbornly forward and that on hard terrain. Very cool I find the solo in the song.

VICIOUS RAIN

are based in Switzerland and have formed quite freshly at the end of 2022. With their Metalcore we jump to the next level of hardness. VICIOUS RAIN (Facebook) let it rip with their single „Blackout“. A brute song that provides a powerful neck workout. I like the different moods in the song. On the one hand, we have awesome tempo accelerations in the basically brutal stomping sound, but also great melodies in the chorus. Every metalcore fan should be happy with this single.

Blackout channels the raw frustration of witnessing someone you love remain stagnant, unable to change for the better. It‘s a poignant reflection on the hurtful reality of holding onto memories of how things used to be while recognizing that toxic patterns can poison their own mind. This song is an emotional outcry, urging listeners to find the strength to let go and prioritize their own well-being.

HÖRET & SEHET März´23(2) zeigt Euch wieder ausgewählte Singles aus der Playlist ‚METALHEADs new stuff‚. Den Anfang machen heute

CRUACHAN

haben zu ihrem fantastischen Album „The Living and The Dead“ (Review) ein neues Video für den Song „The Queen“ veröffentlicht. Der Song ist eine epische Reise, den CRUACHAN (Homepage / Facebook) mit einem wunderschönen Lyric Video bedacht haben. Muss man gesehen und gehört haben!

„The Queen“ ist eine Reise durch verschiedene Welten. Es startet beschwingt und fröhlich, wobei es nicht lange dauert bis Sänger Keith seine fiesen Vocals rauslässt. Man bindet folkloritische Parts ein, die zum feiern und träumen verführen und am Ende wechselt der Song in ein krachendes Finale.

BLACK & DAMNED

sind bei ‚metal-heads.de‘ keine Unbekannten. Bereits das erste Album „Heavenly Creatures“ (Review) war ne Bombe und nun folgt am 28. April das zweite Kracheralbum „Servants Of The Devil“ (Review). War die erste Single „Hyena’s Call“ von BLACK & DAMNED (Facebook) noch eine treibende Power Metal Nummer, so schraubt man das Tempo nun runter und bewegt sich im Midtepmo. Das tut der massiven Präsenz des Sounds aber keinen Abbruch. Echt ne fette Nummer mit herrlichen Riffs und auch sonst allem, was dazugehört.

DYING OATH

kommen aus Virginia und trumpfen mit modernem Metalcore auf. Es ist mittlerweile kein Geheimnis mehr und spätestens sei ARCH ENEMY weiß man, dass Frauen den Männern in Sachen Energie in nichts nachstehen. Ein sehr gelungene Mischung bieten DYING OATH (Facebook / Homepage), wo sich Frau und Mann stimmlich an den Vocals beteiligen. Ist zwar nix neues, aber hier ist es ungewöhnlich, dass Sängerin Mindy Jackson für die harten Töne zuständig ist und der Sänger Nestor Idler die cleanen Vocals beisteuert, wobei sie dies manchmal auch im Duett machen.

Der Song macht mächtig Dampf und setzt eine Menge Energie frei. Hier stimmt alles. Die Growls könnten nicht fieser und brutaler klingen und die melodischen cleanen Vocals schmeicheln sich ins Ohr. Instrumental läuft alles wie am Schnürchen. Krasse Riffs, fetter Bass und brutale Drums vereinigen sich zu einem wahrlich beeindruckenden Erlebnis.

In-Tension

sind ein krasser Kontrast zu der gerade vorgestellten Band. IN-TENSION (Facebook) kommen aus den Niederlanden und gehen die Sache melodischer an, aber eine knackige Härte kommt ebenfalls zum Vorschein. Die Sängerin Noor ist durchweg mit wundervollen cleanen Vocals am Start. Ich jedenfalls war verzaubert von ihrer wunderschönen glasklaren Stimme. Dazu gesellen sich noch atmosphärische Synthies und Keys, welche für zusätzliche Ausstrahlung sorgen und auch mit den Gitarren super harmonieren. Der progressive Ansatz des Songs ist super gelungen und in seinem Zauber geradezu episch. Eine märchenhafte Komposition!

IN-TENSION werden in nächster Zeit noch weitere Singles veröffentlichen und höchstwahrscheinlich wird noch ein Album folgen. Genaueres steht aber noch nicht fest.

CRUACHAN

have released a new video for their fantastic album „The Living and The Dead“ (Review) for the song „The Queen“. The song is an epic journey, which CRUACHAN (Homepage / Facebook) have covered with a beautiful lyric video. Must be seen and heard!

„The Queen“ is a journey through different worlds. It starts upbeat and happy, but it doesn’t take long until singer Keith lets out his nasty vocals. Folkloric parts are integrated, which seduce to celebrate and dream. At the end the song changes into a crashing finale.

BLACK & DAMNED

are well known to ‚metal-heads.de‘. Already the first album „Heavenly Creatures“ (Review) of BLACK & DAMNED (Facebook) was a bomb and now follows on April 28th the second album „Servants Of The Devil“ (Review). While the first single „Hyena’s Call“ was still a driving Power Metal beast, the tempo on „Dreamhunter“ is now lowered and moves in the mid-tempo. But this does not detract from the massive presence of the sound. Really strong sound with wonderful riffs and everything else that you wish for.

DYING OATH

come from Virginia and come up with modern Metalcore. It’s no secret anymore and since ARCH ENEMY at the latest, it’s known that women are in no way inferior to men when it comes to energy. A very exciting mixture offers DYING OATH (Facebook / Homepage), where woman and man participate vocally. It’s nothing new, but here it’s unusual that female singer Mindy Jackson is responsible for the hard tones and male singer Nestor Idler contributes the clean vocals. And they also like to sing as a duet.

The song offers a lot of power and releases a lot of energy. Everything is right in place here. The growls could not sound nastier and more brutal and the melodic clean vocals flatter themselves into the ear. Instrumentally, everything runs like clockwork. Crass riffs, fat bass and brutal drums combine to create a truly impressive experience.

In-Tension

are a stark contrast to the band presented above. IN-TENSION (Facebook) come from the Netherlands and take a more melodic approach, but a crunchy heaviness comes out as well. Vocalist Noor is on point throughout with wonderful clean vocals. I, for one, was enchanted by her beautiful crystal clear voice. In addition, there are atmospheric synths and keys, which provide additional charisma and also harmonize with the guitars. The progressive approach of the song is great and almost epic in its magic. A fairy-tale composition!

IN-TENSION will release more singles in the near future and most likely an album will follow. But more details are not fixed yet.
