DEE SNIDER-„Leave A Scar“-Review
(English review down below)
Der Prediger des Heavy Metal
rockt seine neue Messe in Form seines frischen Albums „Leave A Scar“.
Mein lieber Scholli….
So klingt wahrer Heavy Metal, meine liebe Rockergemeinde! Himmlischer Heavy Metal!
ENGLISH review
The preacher of heavy metal
rocks his new mass in the form of his fresh album „Leave A Scar“. DEE SNIDER (Facebook) proves very impressively that he is far from being old iron, even if he has been around in metal for an eternity. In 1976 DEE SNIDER (*15.03.1955) joined the band TWISTED SISTER (disbanded in 1987). Now in 2021 three years after his successful album „For The Love Of Metal“ his new album „Leave A Scar“ will be released next Friday on 30.07.2021.
What the hell….
There is still a lot of fire in this man. After my last review of the outstanding LOCH VOSTOK we have landed here in a completely different area of Metal. DEE SNIDER stands for straight Heavy Metal, which directly hits your ears without any detours. The opener „I Gotta Rock (Again)“ blows accordingly immediately to the attack and goes straight to the front. The horny riffs have my rocker heart directly in the grip and pump my metal blood in breathtaking speed through my body. This makes a real mood and does not tolerate a breather. The rocking guitar solo makes me totally freak out. This is what true heavy metal sounds like, my dear Rockers! If ever such music would be played at a mass, the nave would be full to bursting! Heavenly Heavy Metal!
Where does he get the energy from?
No idea where DEE SNIDER gets his energy and power, but the whole album sounds as fresh and crisp as the vegetables and fruit at my local trustworthy greengrocer. No muddy spots or age-related mold to be found here. The second track „All Or Nothing More“ is an a hymn that leaves no one cold. The driving song has an fantastic catchy chorus that can’t be written and sung any better. In addition, this grooving fat bass, which sets my body on fire with heavy sound waves. The drums beat mercilessly on me that it is a real pleasure. Did I already mention the awesome riffs and solos? „All Or Nothing“ is a song with the most awesome hooklines I have heard in a long time in this genre. A perfect track that leaves nothing to be desired!
You can sag elsewhere!
Here we go! Every song will make you go wild! Damn… Here it goes rough like a fucking hot rodeo! The degree of hardness is already screwed up quite nicely for heavy metal conditions. When DEE SNIDER blasts the song „Time To Choose“ into your ears, your auditory cells will bow reverently, because the song will kick you hard! None other than the diabolical CANNIBAL CORPSE singer George „Corpsegrinder“ Fisher lends his devilish sinister voice to the song and turns it into a brutal smasher that will send you into the dark abyss with a colossal kick in the ass.
Want a Mosher?
„The Reckoning“ puts the pedal to the metal and it’s time for the next mosh circle. This song rocket is driven by sharp riffs, pumping drums and a strong bassline. The rousing solos ignite stage after stage in this insane song and put the thing under strong current. Well, and when the razor-sharp blade in the form of DEE SNIDER’s voice makes the decisive cut. There is no stopping!
Atmospheric songs like „Crying For Your Life“ are also really fun and and pure dynamite. And this explodes with ingenious bang effects that just make it crack like hell.
Result
Now we come to the conclusion of this album. What is in any case certain is the incontrovertible fact that DEE SNIDER nailed it! With proudly swollen chest and from whole rocker heart the band around DEE SNIDER smashes out a remarkable with rock and metal soaked creed. „Leave A Scar“ consists of outstanding and very good tracks. You will not find something boring. The level is consistently damn high. So remains an album that is definitely one of the best that I have heard this year so far in this genre.
