DEE SNIDER – neues Album im Anmarsch

DEE SNIDER is back! Gute 3 Jahre nach dem überraschend starken „For The Love Of Metal“-Album (HIER unsere Review) wird der schillernde Ex-Twisted Sister Frontmann am 30.07.2021 sein neues Studioalbum „Leave A Scar“ via Napalm Records veröffentlichen. Einen zweifachen Vorgeschmack können wir euch jetzt schon präsentieren.

DEE SNIDER stellt erste Songs vor

Bevor das erneut von Jamey Jasta produzierte und von Schlagzeuger Nick Bellmore co-produzierte, gemischte und gemasterte Album „Leave A Scar“ erscheint, gibt es bereits Vorboten in Form zweier Songs. Da wäre zunächst die erste Single mit dem Titel “I Gotta Rock (Again)”. Hier gibt es das Video zum Song:

Cannibal Corpse Frontman George „Corpsegrinder“ Fisher  als Unterstützung

Bei der zweiten Singleauskopplung wird DEE durch die brutalen Gesangsparts von Cannibal Corpse’s George „Corpsegrinder“ Fisher unterstützt. Mit dem zugehörigen Lyric-Video zum Song „Time To Choose“ könnt ihr euch davon überzeugen, wie die beiden Stimmen harmonieren.

DEE SNIDER sagt dazu:

Time To Choose’ deals with a subject I’ve addressed often over the course of my writing career: good vs. evil (see ‘Burn In Hell’). Given the heaviness of this track, I felt adding George „Corpsegrinder“ Fisher’s voice to this would drive home the seriousness of the choices we make. I was honored when he agreed to contribute his incredibly powerful voice.

Hoffnungsfrohe Erwartung auf „Leave A Scar“

Mit diesen beiden Vorboten können wir – so denke ich – voll hoffnungsfroher Erwartung auf das neue Album „Leave A Scar“ blicken. Es spricht eigentlich nichts dagegen, dass es an den starken Vorgänger nahtlos anknüpft. DEE SNIDER äußert sich dazu wie folgt:

By the end of 2020, I knew I not only had to get back into the studio, but for the first time since the ’90s, I wanted – no, needed – to be a part of the writing process. I reached out to my producer Jamey Jasta and told him I was ready to make another record. Leave a Scar is filled with messages to and for the silent voices in the world who need someone to speak out on their behalf. This is my purpose.
