Body Count – Neuer Plattenvertrag

Ice-T und seine Jungs von Body Count unterschreiben einen neuen Plattenvertrag bei Century Media Records. Dies teilte das Label am Freitag den 17. Juni mit. Die Band erhält dabei einen weltweiten Vertrag, der die Veröffentlichung von dem neuen Album, quer über den Globus ermöglichen soll. Der Rap-Titan sagte jüngst zu der Zusammenarbeit mit dem neuen Label:

It’s cool to be a member of The Century Label Group alongside such a lot of well-established metal artists. With our last album Manslaughter, we tested the waters and got a great response from the fans and critics. Now it’s time to go kill it and make a more aggressive album and keep the BODY COUNT style intact.

Die Band arbeitet im Moment an dem 2014er Nachfolger zu „Manslaugther“ mit Produzent Will Putney. Der Body Count Chef freut sich sehr über die erneute Zusammenarbeit und sagt über Putney:

Producer, Will Putney (Miss May I, Upon A Burning Body), is like a member of the band and has an excellent ear. He’s a great producer because he captures the true essence of our band’s sound. Once we are done writing the song it’s his job to step in and make it sound better. He helps move the record in the right direction, were anticipating working with him again. Once the records done, were going to shoot a lot of music videos and perform spot-dates on certain tests, etc.

Das letzte Album „Manslaugther“ erschien 2014, und war der erste Silberling nach dem 2006er Album „Murder 4 Hire“. Das Album wurde von Fans und Kritikern hochgelobt, und ermöglichte der Band im Sommer 2015 auf namenhaften Festivals wie u.a. Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgien oder dem Pink Pop Festival in Holland zu spielen.
