FIGHT THE FIGHT – Deliverance – Review english
FIGHT THE FIGHT – The album „Deliverance“ will be released at 2020-09-18
The Beast
It was a day like many others. I lived through the day unsuspectingly, listening to new music and then out of nowhere the beast came to haunt me. It grabbed me and shook me… brutally and hard it had me literally „by the balls“! It didn’t let me go!
from Norway got me with their album „Deliverance“. All songs on the new longplayer „Deliverance“ are super refreshing and full of energy. What an awesome record!
Matching this is a comment by the band on the new album:
„You can say that in many ways writing this album has been a path to set free our individual alter egos. These are all coming out in the lyrics during the album. It is not about cleansing but realizing. Always be true to yourself and everyone around you. Sometimes you have to let that beast out and here it is, a beast of an album!“

Welcome to the crazy world of
FIGHT THE FIGHT, who have put together a fat all-round carefree package for you on the album „Deliverance“ . I don’t know where to start. When I heard the song „Triggerfinger“, for example, memories of the 90s came back to me. I spontaneously thought of groups like RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, BODYCOUNT or CLAWFINGER. „Triggerfinger“ is a simply constructed song (with admittedly even simpler lyrics), which revives the flow of the old times and sweeps through your ears with a fresh wind. That makes for a great mood.
Pure dynamite
the boys seem to mix into their breakfast cereal every day. The sound is explosive and sweeps you off your feet. But you shouldn’t think that the boys have settled on a certain musical direction. The influences are manifold and yet the boys have their own style. The title song „Deliverance“ and at the same time opener of the album starts directly and mercilessly. With a dark and furious whirlwind in a Black-Metal-Style the guys sweep up first of all. Nasty screams, hard riffs and tempo changes determine the song. Puhhhh… That was good at first. First of all wipe the sweat from my face and on we go. „Holy shit“… that doesn´t stop. The second song
„Ritual“
doesn’t get much smoother… on the contrary… The merciless riffing with strong bass and blasting drums similar to the song „Pitbull“ let associations to RAMMSTEIN arise. They bite hard and won’t let you out of their claws that fast.
The explosive power and dynamics are ultimately also due to the energetic frontman Lars Vegas, who gives his vocals in a very concise manner. A crazy guy who maintains an intimate relationship with his microphone (see picture below). Despite all the power, the humour of the band is not neglected. Sometimes it only takes a few words to describe a song accurately. Here is the original commentary to the song „Ritual“:
„We present to you ‘Ritual’ – a straight-up rock/metal song that will make your balls and tits swing!„

Conclusion
Full points for this really stirring and spectacular show with its very own mixture of hardness and catchiness, which also has a good dose of Rock’N Roll in its blood. When FIGHT THE FIGHT bring this explosive energy on a live stage, which I have no doubt about, no neckbone remains on the other. Lars Vegas seems to be a stage hawk with a good portion of craziness.
