Stand Atlantic mit neuem Album Ende Oktober

Vor gut einem Jahr machten Stand Atlantic mit ihrer EP „Sidewinder“ auf sich aufmerksam und auch live wussten sie richtig zu überzeugen. Nachzulesen hier und hier. Jetzt haben sie mit Hopeless Records eine neue Plattenfirma und am 26. Oktober 2018 erscheint dort mit „Skinny Dipping“ das erste full length Album von Stand Atlantic. Ausgedehnte Touren und eine gelungene Mischung aus hartem Rock und poppigen Melodien haben ihnen einen Platz in der Liste der heißesten Bands 2018 vom Kerrang gesichert. Die zehn Song auf dem Album sollen ehrlich und authentisch sein und dabei Stand Atlantic gleichzeitig auch emotional gereifter zeigen. Die erste Single-Auskopplung „Lavender Bones“ kann diese Aussage nur unterstreichen.

„Skinny dipping can be seen as an innocent thing you do for fun, but at the same time, you’re naked and vulnerable and exposing yourself to anything in there. There are things in life I sometimes feel are either unimportant or something I shouldn’t be talking about. It can be so isolating to be truly honest, but to have people accept you is so freeing.“ Über die zweite Single „Lost My Cool“ sagt sie: „Lost My Cool is one of the most brutually honest songs on the album. It is simply a commentary on something that happened in my life and a situation I felt very deeply about at the time.
